Are you an experienced bookkeeper looking for a genuinely flexible, part-time role?

The British Swimming Pool Federation is seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, and trustworthy individual to join its small team in Andover, Hampshire.

If you are organised, comfortable with Sage accounts (multi-company) and, preferably, Sage Cloud Payroll, and happy to work closely with a small team, we would love to hear from you.

The role would suit someone with very good interpersonal skills, who has excellent attention to detail. The role is offered to someone wanting to have a long-term, part-time challenge.

It is envisaged that the person will wish to be self-employed, but an employed option can be discussed, if applicable (the hourly rate would then be negotiable).

New BSPF President Dorian Davies Shares His Vision for the British Swimming Pool Federation (BSPF)

As the BSPF looks ahead to the next phase of its development, it is proud to welcome Dorian Davies as its new President. Dorian officially took over from Dyfed Thompson-Smith, MBA, at the Industry Gala Evening, held at SPATEX, on 3rd February 2026, bringing with him a strong background in marketing, communications, and other industry expertise.

Widely known across the wet leisure sector, as the former Chair of Bishta - British and Irish Spa and Hot Tub Association and through his company, Doric Marketing, Dorian steps into his two-year BSPF presidency with a clear focus on collaboration, effective communication, and championing professionalism across the industry.

Amanda Thompson-Smith Appointed Chair of the SPATA National Council

SPATA - Swimming Pool and Allied Trades Association is proud to announce the appointment of Amanda Thompson-Smith as the new Chair of the SPATA National Council. The announcement was made during the British Pool & Hot Tub Conference, held on 15th October 2025.

Amanda succeeds Jon Herbert - Rockingham Swimming Pools Limited, who has served as Chair with distinction, providing steady leadership and championing the association’s values throughout his tenure. SPATA extends its sincere thanks to Jon for his dedication, insight, and the positive impact he has made on the association and the wider wet leisure industry.

Amanda joined the SPATA National Council in 2022 and currently holds the position of Business Development Manager – Projects at AstralPool UK Ltd. With over two decades of experience in the wet leisure sector, Amanda has built a reputation for strategic thinking, collaborative leadership, and a deep understanding of the industry’s challenges and opportunities.

Her appointment comes at a pivotal time for SPATA, as the association continues to evolve with new branding, digital platforms, and member-focused initiatives. Amanda’s leadership will be instrumental in guiding SPATA through this next phase, ensuring that the association remains a strong advocate for professional standards, technical excellence, and industry growth.

Arun Sarna Appointed Chair of the Pool Industry Promotions (PIP) Committee

The Pool Industry Promotions (PIP) Committee is delighted to announce the appointment of Arun Sarna as its new Chair. Arun brings a wealth of experience and industry insight to the role, having been an active member of the PIP Committee since 2017.

Arun is the owner of Hot Tub Suppliers, a respected business in the hot tub sector and a proud member of Bishta - British and Irish Spa and Hot Tub, since 2015. His longstanding commitment to promoting excellence and innovation in the industry makes him an ideal leader for PIP.

Arun takes over the position of Chair from Mark Ramsden, Commercial Director of Complete Pool Controls Ltd (CPC). The PIP Committee would like to extend its sincere thanks to Mark for his dedicated service as PIP Chair since March 2024. Mark has been a valued member of the PIP Committee since 2007 and has played a key role in advancing PIP’s objectives during his tenure.

Arun will be supported in his new role by Bernard Bell-McManus, Account Manager at ITS Europe, who has been appointed Vice Chair of the PIP Committee.
