Just to say thankyou for all the lovely comments we are still getting on different texts, emails and phone calls. Also your lovely cards with such heartfelt meanings and things you have said in them will stay with us forever.
Myself, Jess and the instructors have all met up since at the riding school and had a lovely meal together and have shared a lot of stories about your lovely comments, cards and how generous and kind you have been until the end and even now as well! It was deffinately a riding school to remember and you all helped us to make a difference. So thankyou to you all for shareing in all of it ! HERE ARE SOME PICTURES FROM OUR 31ST AUG CLOSING DOWN MEET UP IN THE EVENING . What a big attendance and as Adelle said it was lovely to be all together but a very emotional evening. Hello to all of you we are still here on face book.
Our special get together after Andover riding school closed down from 5.00 until 7.00 last night ( Sunday 31st August 2025 ) was so well attended.
Around 120 people in all came to say goodbye and see the staff and horses for the last time. an absolutely great tribute and turn out for our riding school.
We know others of you were too sad to come and we understand that.
People are so kind we were inundated with thankyou cards and very special presents and bouquets of flowers and champagne and presents people had had specially made. Thankyou so so much.
Lots of refreshments were brought in also and you were all so generous.
There was a speech and a tribute to anything to do with Andover riding school over the years for people and horses alike.
Cameras were clicking all night long and people queing up to take photos. It was so surreal and not many people left there without having a few tears of course.
It really has been a fantastic 10 years and Jess and myself thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the imput you have all put in continuously over the years helping make Andover riding school the special place it was.
So three cheers to all of you and to a riding school that will be so sadly missed by the community.

Oh dear so many sad people here today at Andover riding school as its our very last weekend as well as lots of laughter and happiness during fun in our gymkhana games.
Please dont worry about getting upset on the yard as its bound to happen, we understand as we are not finding any of it easy either of course.
Same as tomorrow nights get together 5.00 till 7.00 some people are saying they wont come because they cant cope with the sadness of it, but we would love to see you all for one last time if you possibly can, but understand if you cant.

Hello everyone,
As you all know by now this Sunday 31st August will be our very last day and sadly we will be closed from then on.
This message is just to say a very big THANKYOU for the ongoing support we have always recieved from so many people and still are.
Andover riding school has been huge in popularity, and without all of you and our special staff over the years and the amazingly loyal staff we have got now and of course all our special horses and ponies it would not have been possible.
Myself and Jess will always be grateful for all of you and the unbelievably amazingly popular success the riding school has been.
Thankyou for all your amazing messages , cards, flowers and presents we have all recieved since announcing we are having to close due to not enough staff coming through wanting to do this type of work anymore. This affects all riding schools ( which are closing at an alarming rate,) also farms, livery yards, blacksmiths and any similar professions and sadly so many are scaleing down or closing down.
Our riding school has given such a lot of great times and happiness to so many children and adults and to ourselves as well over the 10 years, and also helped so many with gaining confidence in themselves in general. It is a very therapeutic place here and people say they can feel that as soon as they drive in.
Hopeing to see as many of you that can make it and that have been to our riding school through over the years for one last time on this Sunday 31st August between 5.00 and 7.00. If any one can bring any refreshments that would be lovely too !
We dont know if many will come as people are still on holiday and some are saying they cant face it because of the upset they feel, and we understand this of course, but we are opening the paddock on your right immediately as you drive in from the road, as extra car parking so please park in there to avoid tail backs out on the road.
Of course we do understand everyones extreme sadness and tears which there has inevitably been so much of with men, women and children alike, it has been a big part of your lives for years ( some of you for the whole 10 years weve been open )as it has ours.
So bye for now.
Sunday will be a very emotional time for all of you and us , but hopefully see you Sunday anyway !

All of us at Andover riding school want to thank you so much for all your heart felt comments, you are so kind, and have been so loyal and supportive right to the end.
We have loved having you all at the riding school over the last 10 years and we are going to MISS YOU ALL so much, and its all of you that helped make Andover riding school, the succesful, busy popular riding school that it still is at the moment, for the community.
Your comments mean so much to all of us here.
We hope to see as many of you as possible on Sunday 31st August 5.00 till 7.00 so we can all meet up for one last time.
If any of you can possibly bring any snacks or nibbles, cakes or biscuits it would be much appreciated.
We are not sure how many of you will be able to make it but in case it gets busy we have an over spill car park in one of the paddocks as you turn in off of the road its directly on your right.
We are looking forward to seeing you all, and i can see some of you are coming from long distances and we wont have seen some of you for a very long time. It is going to be very special ! although under a sad cloud. X

Formal Announcement Of The Closure of Andover riding school at 5.00 on Sunday 31st August 2025.
As most of our customers know by now we are sorry to inform everyone of the above.
We are in the same situation as a lot of rural outdoor businesses are these days where we can not get enough staff, and so have had to make the very sad decision to close at the end of the day on Sunday 31st August.
We really appreciate all of our loyal customers that have supported us and still are through out the 10 years of being such a busy and poular riding school always achieving 5 stars on all of our licences. We have now known a lot of you for quite a few years
and will miss you all and all the great times weve all had.
Over the years we have had some absolutely fantastic staff that have stayed with us for years and we thankyou all so much for all your hard work, loyalty and happiness you brought.
AT present we have got a dedicated fantastic team of part time staff who are second to NONE in their dedication, loyalty, hard work, friendliness
and personalities and are more like our riding school FAMILY FRIENDS than staff. Nearly all of them have been with us for years and have helped make the riding school such a happy, friendly therapeutic place as everyone says, BUT unfortunately they have now left their colleges and universities to go forward in to their full time careers, and we wish them very happy futures as they deserve.
We will never forget how amazing they have been and how they always go the extra mile and we will keep in touch.
We have been so lucky also to have had such brilliant horses over the years and have still got most of them. They have given so many children and adults from 3 years and upwards such happy fantastic times, and have taught countless people the skills of being able to ride safely and properly with great balance but all in an understanding kind way.
To all of the above we can not thank you enough for all of your support throughout Andover riding schools succesful 10 years. Which without you wouldnt have been possible !
We have carefully found and selected 5 star homes for the horses that will need to be sold, and they will be going to for ever homes AFTER 31st August where they will continue to be loved and cherished. ( NO OTHERS ARE FOR SALE )
Myself and Jess will be keeping some of the horses and will have a lot to sort out once the riding school has closed. We will be retaining the land.
On another note, past and present customers are WELCOME to attend the riding school from 5.00 to 7.00 on Sunday 31st August to see the horses and everybody for the last time and share some happy memories !
It would be very helpful if you could bring food, refreshments and snacks and would be appreciated.
We will be opening one of the paddocks as an over spill car park, which is on your right as you drive in off the road.
We hope to see as many of you here as possible.

ANDOVER RIDING SCHOOL have 2 spaces for Pony Day Friday 22nd August. 9.30 until 3.00. ( all other days are now full ).
This include a riding lesson, gymkhana games, learning to plait their manes and tails. Go home with a rosette. Learn how to look after the ponies, hunt the horse shoe in the fields and lots more fun with the ponies all day.
Must be 8 years or over and have had some riding experience.
