LEAGUE COMPETITIONS & RESULTSHEET

As you hopefully already know, I am running two League Competitions within the Andover Wheelers 2026 Racing Calendar.

The overall Andover Wheelers League, which is for First Claim Andover Wheelers Riders only. This is your best 8 scores from the 10 events. I have created a League Table on Resultsheet which can be accessed at this link https://resultsheet.app/event_series/1780500402628x507288583268204540 . There are quite a number of trophies available for club riders, so please do have a look at what is available as there is plenty of time yet for you to set a target and go for it!

Please do have a look on the League Tables for your name and just double check that the information is correct - there may be instances of names being spelled differently (Rach/Rachel, or simply typo) and the results haven't linked together. TT Tuesday 16th June 7pm - Red Rice 16 miles

After the excitement of our two Open TTs the last fortnight, we return to Club Races with a 16 mile TT on our Red Rice Course. All riders from all clubs welcome, so please do come and join in! For some added friendly competition, it is also the "home" event of the two Interclub Races between Wheelers and NHRC! So we really do need an excellent turnout of Wheelers for this evening 🙏🏻

RESULTS -10mile Open P612/10, 7th June

Congratulations to all involved in the race yesterday on our excellent fast course starting at Picket Twenty racing to Bullington and back. It was a chilly breezy morning, but luckily dry, and we had a full field of 80 riders on the startsheet.

Ollie Peckover taking the win with a fantastic time of 18:29, closely followed by Rob Francis in 2nd with 18:47, and in 3rd Christopher Gibbard with a 19:02.

In the Ladies; Linda Dewhurst in 1st with 22:40, Caroline Nottage in 2nd place with 23:34, and in 3rd Emma Davies with a time of 25:05.

Six Road Bikes raced, with Simon Butteriss taking the win in this category with an impressive 20:44

RTTC National Classic Series Round 5 - Hardriders 24 TT 31st May 2026 - REPORT

Andover Wheelers were given the honour of hosting the penultimate round of the RTTC National Classic Series. This is a 6 event, road bike only series using hilly courses all over the UK, from Devon to Scotland.

A west wind and cool overcast conditions greeted riders and organisers for Round 5 on the Andover Wheelers' challenging Hardriders 24 mile TT Course. A blessed relief from the previous week's heatwave, and much more pleasant than the usual February hosting of races on this course!

The conditions were clearly in riders’ favour, with some really fast times for this course being logged, with Casper Von Folsach of Wattshop taking the win in an incredible 52:57 which smashed not only the Road Bike Course Record but the TT Bike Record as well! Excellent rides from George King of VC Venta taking 2nd place with 55:58, and 3rd for Rob Cowell of Ogmore Valley Wheelers in 58:57.

In the Ladies, it was a close race with only 30 seconds separating the winner Ellen Reynolds of Elevate RT in 1:04:01 and Bexy Dew of Army Cycling in 1:04:31. Both also beating the Ladies TT and RB Course Records! Absolutely fantastic riding! Well done too to Sien Van Der Plank of New Forest CC taking 3rd in 1:09:19.

Congratulations to all Category Prizewinners, and a huge thank you and well done to all riders for taking part and making this an excellent event. I hope that you all had an enjoyable morning. Full results can be viewed on CTT and at Resultsheet, link in comments below

I am very grateful to everyone who helped me put this race on and make it such a success. Firstly to Stewart Smith and Roger Wakeling from CTT, for your presence and assistance at HQ with displaying the results on your marvellous new screen.

Hugely grateful to Maria Golden of ...a3crg for the Finish Timekeeping and kindly showing me the ropes of Finish Timekeeping, I have another lesson with Maria upcoming next Sunday at Andover Wheelers Open on the A303, so let's see if I can put what I have learned into practice!

Particular thank you to Max, Mitchell and Dave for the huge task of setting out, and collecting in, the considerable number of signs needed on this course.

Plus, everyone who helped at the Start, the HQ, and Marshalled around the Course on the morning. I couldn't put these Events on without you all, your help is very much appreciated.

I will do a Race Report tomorrow, but for now I just want to sincerely thank everyone who helped me put this race on today, and every rider who took part. I appreciate you all, it was such a brilliant success of a morning 🥰

NHRC 25 Mile TT Thurs 28th May

If anyone fancies making the most of the beautiful weather and racing a 25, NHRC are racing H25/3C starting at Shefford Woodlands (///hairpin.dares.capers) tomorrow evening (28th May) This is a good fast course with a great road surface.

This is for signing up for our Club TT's Please fill in all details Registration closes 6pm the night before a race. Priority will be given to NHRC members. In event of a full field entry for non NHRC members will be on a first come first served basis. You will be contacted no earlier than 24 hours....
