Every one of the 18 holes has its own individual appeal and character as the course climbs and falls, twists and turns, in sh

eltered valleys and on exposed plateaux between rocky outcrops and areas of gorse - a spectacular riot of perfumed yellow flowers when in bloom. Playing from elevated tees with superb views of the course to lush and generous fairways and onwards to excellent greens, each shot requires careful thinking and the correct ex*****on to earn par. At 6276 yards and a par of 70 off the white tees, the course is not long by modern standards, but defended by its natural hazards and the ever changing wind direction, it will challenge golfers of all abilities. If you combine a course designed by the great Herbert Fowler, playable all year round thanks to good drainage and the favourable weather enjoyed by the area, with a course maintained to the highest standard by a dedicated and enthusiastic team of green keepers, you then have a recipe for an exhilarating and unforgettable round of golf.

Yesterday we finally got to play the postponed Champion of Champions competition for 2025, and the wind stayed put to give the guys at least a little bit of a challenge. Well, it is Bull Bay 🤷

⛳️ A fantastic few days for our Bull Bay juniors competing in regional events 👏

Well done to Molly, Ffion, Grace, Emily and Macsen who all took part in the Wales Ping event at Hawarden — great experience and brilliant to see them representing the club so well.

A special mention to Ffion who took the Girls Under 10 win 🥇 , Molly, who finished 3rd place 🥉 in the girls under 12 and to Macsen, who was playing in his very first competition in the Boys U8 category — a big milestone and the first of many we’re sure!

Molly and Emily also competed in the Faldo Futures event at Mold, where Molly went one better and took the win 🏆 — a fantastic achievement!

It’s great to see all our juniors progressing, gaining experience, and enjoying their golf. The future is bright ⭐️

Congratulations to our Guide Dogs for the Blind Open Competition winners, G Thompson, A Pridmore, J Collins G Wilson.
They came in with a fantastic score of 53 and they also took this fabulous picture on the course which they've kindly let us pinch!

We hope you enjoyed it chaps and we hope to see you again.

Thank you to everyone who entered on Monday, and also who came to meet the dogs, make donations or enter the raffles.

⛳️ What a day at our Easter Junior Golf Camp!

Sun shining, Bull Bay looking great, and plenty of smiles all round — the perfect way to kick off spring 🌱☀️

Brilliant to see so many young golfers out enjoying themselves, learning new skills, making friends, and growing in confidence 👏

It’s also fantastic to see how well our current juniors are progressing. Plenty of stars of the future in the making ⭐️

Spring is the ideal time to get into golf, and there’s no better place to start than with our junior programme at Bull Bay.
