WHCC had the pleasure of hosting Bucks 🆚 Hampshire Super 9s disability squads Yesterday 🔥

Fantastic cricket on show and an incredible atmosphere throughout! Although the result didn’t go Bucks’ way, it was a close, competitive and thoroughly enjoyable game for everyone involved 👏

Huge thanks to Bill & Ray for running the bar all day 🍻, Ethan for scoring for both sides, and Rocco & Leo for helping with everything from the ground to drinks 🙌

Big appreciation as well to Paul, Alan & Greg for getting the ground match‑ready 💪

Both teams couldn’t speak highly enough of Winchmore ❤️🏏

Putting up a solid 234/7 with great knocks from Stuart (39), Brad (46), and a brilliant 50 from Zohaib 👏

With the ball, Liam set the tone with 2, Shaz backed it up with 2, Ben with 1 also and a big shoutout to Tom & Alex O’Neill on their first senior debuts & wickets for the club 🎉

💥 Vish with a match-winning spell—3 wickets for just 4 runs in the last 1.3 overs to seal it!

5 catches shared across the team—top effort all round 🙌

Brilliantly led by skipper Stuart Banham, with juniors stepping up and a real team performance to get the win 💪

A huge CONGRATULATIONS to our Queen of Cricket, the incredible Glynis 👑🏏

Glynis has been recognised alongside 52 other pioneering women who have helped shape the women’s game, as part of this year’s World Cup celebrations 💜

The ECB have honoured these legends by turning 53 seats at Edgbaston purple – each one dedicated to their stories. And here it is… Glynis’ seat after the unveiling – how amazing is that! 🙌

We’re also proud to celebrate that our patron of the young officials and girls section, Anna, has been recognised too 👏

🔥 Long Weekend Cricket Round‑Up 🔥�A huge weekend of cricket in challenging heatwave conditions ☀️🏏

1st XI fought hard, posting 285, with Rocco scoring his first 50 for the club (52) 👏 Wickets for Alan (2), Liam and Nabz, plus sharp catches from Rocco & Pete.

2nd XI put up 277 in another tight contest. Standout performances from Srinvas (102 – back‑to‑back tons!) and Ravi (79) 💯🔥 Ravi also grabbed a hat‑trick, with wickets for Shaz & Vivek.

A tough league day, but plenty of positives — we go again Saturday 💪

Sunday Adults XI played in 32°C heat with a brilliant family‑focused side featuring four families 👏

The Jupps – Father, son & daughter
The Ansaris – Grandfather, father & son, with Bubba Ansari returning after 20 years away from the game 👏
The Van Den Bergs – Both brothers
The Gopals – Father & son
�🎉 Debuts for Georgie, Thamil & Rayaan

Bowling highlights included 4 wickets for Liam, 2 on debut for Thamil, and wickets for Shaz & Rayaan, plus a wicket & catch for Ethan.

With the bat, a father/son both getting 50 which saw Rocco record his second 50 of the weekend, both finishing on 55 🙌
Bubba (Grandad) added 43, before youngsters Ethan & Georgie finished the chase for a great team win ✅

Great weather, great cricket, great people — the perfect way to end the weekend 🏆
