Double Stoneycroft Ghyll today. Firstly with lovely family from Essex and later with a brother & sister from Northumberland.
Lots of smiles and laughter all day.
Perfect conditions in the Ghyll with plenty of sunshine and a good level of water.
Summer is here folks, if you're keen to give this a go please do get in touch....

7 routes ticked at Church Crag today. Steve got on the sharp end too, leading one of the climbs. He had doubted he would be doing any leading when we first arrived at the crag, but after a decent warm up he was keen for it which is always nice to see.

Castle Rock this afternoon with longstanding client Steve.
4 routes on super sticky rock that has helped to rebuild confidence for Steve after a few months away from climbing. More on the cards for tomorrow.

Slab & Notch to reach the summit of High Man, Pillar.
This had been rescheduled from Friday due to high winds and heavy rain. Well that move paid off as today we enjoyed warm, dry rock, no wind, and plenty of sunshine. Also had the place to ourselves.
Thanks to James and Reagan for choosing us to be part of your Birkett's journey.

Today we have been with CREST and started with an abseil at Castle Head. This offers a wonderful view over Derwent Water and across to the NW fells. After this it was wetsuits on and into a very full Stoneycroft Ghyll. Slides, jumps, and scrambles all the way. There were plenty of nerves about this amongst the group, but everyone got stuck in and great teamwork shone through. I reckon the non-stop laughter could be heard in Keswick, it was that good :-)

Grisedale with Suzy and Petra. The weather did give us a beating, but still we made to an atmospheric Grisedale Tarn where a lone Seagull perched on a boulder.
Plenty of Coast to Coast walkers out, all thoroughly soaked just like us. But lots of smiles, laughter, and positivity.

Tea and cake for these two at Another Place hotels and I think the sauna was mentioned too.

Around this time each year Caroline joins us for a climbing day whilst holidaying in the Lakes. This was due to be tomorrow, but the forecast is pretty poor, so we were able to switch to today and that gave us a win.
Dry rock, gorgeous views, a sociable crag, some lovely belays, and 6 pitches of climbing. Not bad for an afternoon :-)

Are you planning a holiday in the Lakes and would like to go climbing or try out some fun outdoor activities? If so, please do get in touch.

Trad development day in Langdale and what a lovely day it's been. Amazing leading from Elizabeth and very patient belaying by Roddy. After climbing Route 1 at Upper Scout Crag we finished with an abseil at Lower Scout.
Lots of skill consolidation and a fair amount of melting under a rather hot sun. Thanks both :-)
