🔵🔵 Azzurri end the season with defeat 🔵🔵

First half we started well. Scoring a brilliantly well worked goal from our #9 but then Benfield came back into the game, the defense in open play stood strong. Limiting them to half chances. Then our achelles heal, corners. Where they scored from an unlucky deflection.

Second half I thought we were well on top for 90percent of it. We passed it well and created some good chances against a well drilled defence. The last 5 mins was madness and heads went. Another corner cost us. Its a shame as it wasnt a reflection on the rest of the game which I thought was good. Corners and concentration is something we need to work on.

Coaches MOTM #2 LB Strong and calm throughout. Good distribution.

I dont want that last 10mins to be a reflection on the season. This season has been brilliant and the improvement from where we were at the start has been remarkable.

Thanks to the parents for the support and thanks to the lads for buying into our coaching methods and showing commitment from day one. We will improve over the summer and have another right good go next season.

🔵🔵 Azzurri respond in the perfect way 🔵🔵

Night and day compared to the performance on Thursday!!

We looked assured and dominant from the kickoff. We took an early lead, coming from a lovely throughball finished nicely by our Striker #9.

The second took a while but came 5 mins before the break with a calm left footed finish from our LW #14 then as soon as he went on the right wing our #10 scored leaving us comfortable at half time.

Second half was very similar to the first. Our CM #22 scoring immediately from a long range effort then our #9 scoring his 2nd with a one on one after powering onto a through ball quickly followed by #10 scoring a looping cross/shot.

Brilliant performance by all 👏👏 The defence looked so solid and any chances they had were sniffed out very quickly. We also passed the ball very well. We looked superb when the ball is moving quickly between the lines. Absolutely class performance from everyone 💙

The attack was decisive unselfish and caused chaos throughout the whole game. We pressed the life out of them and won the ball high. If it wasnt for their goalie the score could of being in double digits.

MOTM is tough as it could of gone to anyone.

Coaches MOTM #10 Played 3 different positions and looked comfortable in all 3. I love this lads attitude. He is mad as a box of frogs but works so hard and has real quality in all areas of the pitch.

Opposition MOTM - #22 Controlled the game from midfield. Whether that was filling in at the back or driving the ball into the attacking third.

Class lads. Well done!!!

One more left. Same again next week and we can finish the season with a bang.

🔵 3 points in the bag for the boys in blue 🔵

🤩 Wow wow wow!!! That was seriously impressive. You will struggle to find a kids team that passes the ball as well as we did tonight!

We started sharp. Passing the ball swiftly and creating chances. Then came 3 quick goals. The first was an unbelievable run and finish from one of our star wingers #14 The second was a brilliant finish by our super striker #9 then the third came from relentless pressure calmly tucked away by our #9 for his 2nd, Bluestar then responded by scoring from a corner.

The second half performance was almost perfect. The passing went up another level. We looked so calm and composed and the defensive line was outstanding.

The half was largely uneventful until our potent attack clicked into life again with our winger #14 scoring an unbelievable second goal. Almost a carbon copy of the first. #9 completed his hat trick scoring a one on one which was inevitable as soon as he went through on goal. Then our coaches player of the match #7 RW relentless hard work gave him the rewards he deserved with a lovely tap in.

Honesty that was a fantastic watch. Bluestars coach could not believe we were are a new side. These lads came together less than a year ago and the improvement Individually and more importantly as a team is unbelievable. We love watching them play like that and what is even more exciting is that we arn't even close to our ceiling. The Azzurri future is very very bright.

Coaches POTM- #7 RW His best game in an Azzurri shirt. This lads seems to be beaming with confidence and it showed with everything he did today. The commitment shown to make sure he made the game today travelling back from Portsmouth and then putting in that performance. Superb lad. Less hair product next time though. Almost cut my hand on them sharp curls.

Opposition MOTM - #22 CM - Didn't go his way today at times on the ball but as everyone he worked relentless hard and was a big part in moving the ball from defence into the attacking areas.

So proud of the lads. Well done!!!! 💙
