The new gateway off the driveway plus additional grass reinforcement laid to the parking area of the F.O.D.is a great success. Well done to our volunteers who worked hard to make the area ready for use. Donations are always welcome towards the costs of completing this major facility.Thanks.

Update.
The Field is now in regular use on Sunday mornings by the Kings Norton Rugby Club's Junior section "The RHINOS"
We now provide local community groups occasional uses for approved recreational use.Plus Summertime training. The car parking area has been partially covered in environmental grass reinforcement matting. A separate entrance has been installed to ease parking at busy times. Additional funding is required to complete this work & continue improvements to the playing surfaces.

Update.
The field has been regularly cut & improved by a process called earthquaking which opens up the soil to improve drainage. We have laid out & brought into use the first section of the planned environmental reinforced grass parking area & installed access gates off our driveway & main car park to allow in & out access at busy times.The area is now regularly used on Sundays by the junior section.The differing age group pitches are permanently marked out. This major asset has relieved considerable pressure on the main pitches & allows flexibilty with pitch maintenance & accommodating our two Summer Sports club tenants. American Football & Rugby League.
These pitch improvements are all "work in progress" & we are planning to add more parking area & land drainage. Much of these works are internally financed & we still need to find ways to raise further funds to extend the improvements & clear our internal debt of approx £20k for the initial land purchase.

As we commence the Clubs Centenary celebrations we expect this additional facility to provide a number of opportunities for these activities.

Newly planted boundary hedge

Delighted to announce that the club has completed the purchase of this additional 6.2 acres of land. We are indebted to our neighbours patience allowing us to prepare & use this area while we raised the funds. Also those members & friends who have generously supported this venture over the lengthy period.
THE OPPORTUNITY TO BECOME A PATRON OF THE FIELD remains open until the end of October.
We will then commence distribution of Patrons certificates. The final Patrons board will also be prepared & displayed in the Clubhouse.
In memory of Stan our long time friend & neighbour, Our field of dreams will be named as "Clifford's Field".

We are delighted to have exchanged contracts to buy our Field of Dreams.The owners have graciously granted a licence for us to start using the land while we continue to raise the balance of money needed. Last month our junior section planted 800 whips for the new boundary hedge & before this current lock down also held a couple of training sessions on the new area. We wish to thank everyone who have already donated enough money's to reach this point.Theres still someway to go & we are determined with everyone's support to raise the balance.
