Balquharn Simulated Game Days Simulated game days based in Central Scotland. Simulated game shooting set at the foot of the Ochil Hills in Central Scotland.

A full day consists of 5 drives, breakfast rolls, elevenses and a homemade lunch. Where we are situated, we’re able to simulate driven grouse, partridge, varying heights of driven pheasant and settling duck. We can cater for all different abilities. Typical Itinerary

ttling Duck) Drive 5 (High Driven Pheasant) 8/10 guns split into 2 teams, having 4/5 guns shooting at one time while the other team loads. Half way through the drive the roles are swapped around. All guns MUST have all relevant licences and personal liability insurance. (BASC, CCC, Gamekeepers Association.....) Weekend cover can be purchased over and above on the CCC website for £18.95. Fibre wads only, cartridges not included but can be provided at additional cost. Team sizes, min 6 to max 12 guns

Saturday saw our first day out for a wee while, but as always it was a pleasure to have Brian McNaughton and his team of 12 back again for their third time here at Balquharn. Taking advantage of the full days package the guns enjoyed 5 drives powered by our Promatic Traps Huntsman trap, breakfast rolls at the morning briefing, out in the field for elevenses, sit down homemade lunch and finished off with tea/coffee and home baking. Thankfully the weather was kind to us and the team put on a fine display of shooting as usual. Safe to say, a great day was had by all!

A change in weather, but this team of guns certainly didn’t let it dampen their spirits. Saturday saw a full team of 12 guns come and enjoy our full day package. To be fair we got pretty lucky with the weather as we watched the rain move along the face of the Ochils. Thanks again to Brian McNaughton and his team of guns, the quality of shooting was first class!

Still plenty time to get booked in to blow the cob webs away and get your eye in for the start of game season.

Another great day yesterday with a top team of guns who were returning for their second day with us. Was nice to finally get our high platform put to use, I think the guns will agree it definitely helps present very challenging targets. Yesterday we headed to Glenample Estate, just outside Lochearnhead. We put on a 3000 clay, 3 drive afternoon for the resident syndicate. After doing a recce the week before we knew the day would be a success as the topography was ideal for simulated game. The views weren’t to bad either. Thanks to Andy and Mark for making us feel welcome, and we’ll hopefully do it again.

If this type of service is something you might be interested in, maybe to get your syndicate back together at your own shoot where everyone is familiar for a fun day before this years birds get released. Please don’t hesitate to get in contact.
