During my final weekend to qualify as Ocean Diver we were at a Vobster Quay, we enter the water and start to follow our instructor around an aircraft in the water. I lag behind a little. My instructor comes over to me an passes me a torch on a line. I thought it was to help me see inside the cockpit. No it was to ensure we stayed together. I didn't realise it was a buddy line. Oh well I got a great look into the cockpit. My fellow students still fall about laughing at this, ' Stan Laurel' moment.
