Vanessa Golborn School of Dance Well established dance school based in Alton Hampshire, running classes in RAD Ballet, ISTD Tap, Modern, Jazz as well as Street and Contemporary.

Classes run in two (or more) studios 6 days a week in the disciplines of Ballet (RAD), Jazz/Street, Tap and Modern (ISTD) in our purpose built dance studios at Alton Sports Centre. Students range from pre-school through to adults. Exam opportunities up to vocational/professional level are offered, but not pushed on students to create a supportive atmosphere for all students, whether wanting to dan

ce professionally or just as a hobby. The opportunity to perform publically is given in our bi-ennial school shows at The Anvil Basingstoke, as well as in various charity/community events during the year, as well as our choreographic competition which encourages students to develop their creative skills in dance.

We have 2 new classes starting this term, tomorrow Wednesday 21st January sees a new Silver Swans adult Ballet on Wednesday afternoon, 2.45 - 3.30pm created because the Friday class is still fully subscibed. We are looking forward to our term starting again on Monday 12th January. Classes in Ballet, Tap, Modern and Jazz or Street Dance for all ages, pre school to adults. Good luck to the students taking exams in Modern and Tap this Saturday and Sunday.

January started with exams, December finished with exams, and many more in between. Very proud of the 100% pass rate- well done everyone!
Everyone has been kept busy with holiday clubs, intensives, ‘thank you day’ performances, an awards day to celebrate all the exam achievements
2026 is looking exciting too with our school show at the Anvil, plus the introduction of a new Squad with auditions kicking off in January

And day 2 done! Well done to everyone for the hard work and effort towards these exams. Onto the next for many of you!!
