NEW SIGNING | JACK SIMONS-CLARK

We’re delighted to confirm the signing of Jack Simmons-Clark for the 2026/27 season. Another exciting young player joining the Phoenix, Jack has already shown throughout pre-season exactly why we’re so pleased to get this one over the line. Direct, fearless and a nightmare for defenders, he’s given us glimpses of what he can bring and the exciting part is that we don’t believe we’ve seen anywhere near his full potential yet.

Coming through the Alton youth setup, Jack has a clear vision of where he wants to take his football and the ambition to match it.
That’s something we want to support. Alton Phoenix has always been about giving young players an opportunity to step into men’s football, develop, compete and see where their ability can take them and we hope to provide Jack with another part of that pathway. Really excited to have this one on board.

We’re delighted to welcome Brad Green to Alton Phoenix for the 2026/27 season. Brad joins the group as another fresh addition to the squad as we continue to strengthen ahead of the new campaign.

We’re delighted to confirm that Max Williams will remain with Alton Phoenix for the 2026/27 season. Max has been a massive part of this club over the last few seasons and someone who has played a real role in helping the Phoenix grow into what it is today.
Through the highs, the challenges and everything that’s come with our journey through the divisions, Max has continued to give everything for the badge and become an important part of the identity we’ve built along the way.

Someone who understands the club, understands the group and knows exactly what it means to represent the Phoenix.

We’re delighted to confirm the signing of Herbie Charlton for the 2026/27 season. Coming through the Alton youth setup, Herbie already has some good footballing experiences behind him, including finding the net in the FA Youth Cup for Alton and now begins the next chapter of his football with the Phoenix. Throughout pre-season we’ve seen exactly what Herbie can offer. He brings something different to the group, has plenty of ability and when he’s on the pitch, can be a real asset to this team.

With plenty of football still ahead of him, we’re looking forward to seeing what he can bring as part of this squad and helping him continue to develop within the Phoenix environment. Another piece added to the squad, and another one we’re really pleased to get over the line.

PLAYER RETAINED | KIERAN LENACHAN

We’re delighted to confirm that Kieran Lenachan will remain with Alton Phoenix for the 2026/27 season. Since joining the Phoenix, he’s brought both quality and experience to the group, and his numbers speak for themselves.

During our 2024/25 Division 7 title-winning campaign, he found the net an incredible 26 times in just 19 appearances, finishing as our leading goalscorer as we lifted our first league title.
More than a goal a game and a huge contribution to one of the biggest seasons in our history. With experience, quality and a proven ability to find the back of the net, we’re delighted to have Ken with us for another campaign.

We’re delighted to confirm that Ed West will remain with Alton Phoenix for the 2026/27 season. Ed joined the Phoenix last year, although his first season with the club was understandably interrupted as he began an exciting new chapter away from football, becoming a firefighter 🚒

Despite limited opportunities to pull on the shirt, we’ve seen enough to know exactly what Ed can add to this squad. A dependable player who gives us added strength and depth, we’re really pleased to get this one over the line and have Ed back with the group for the season ahead. With year one behind him, we’re looking forward to seeing much more of him in Phoenix colours this time around.

We’re delighted to confirm the signing of Daniel Gordon for the 2026/27 season. Daniel joined us during pre-season and has quickly shown exactly what he’s capable of. For a young player stepping into the group, he’s impressed with his attitude, his performances and the way he’s embraced the opportunity, earning his place within the Phoenix squad for the season ahead.

And he’s already made his mark. Daniel found the scoresheet in our final game of pre-season, sealing the victory against Division 1 opposition and putting the finishing touch on an impressive summer.
We’re really excited about what Daniel can bring to this team and how far he can develop. Another talented young player choosing to continue his journey with the Phoenix, and one we’re really pleased to have secured.
