We had a great time back at the Studio after the carnival today too. The adults enjoyed a drink from our bar, the children had a great time playing games on the lawn and performing an impromptu 'show' for us all which was great fun, particularly the musical input from our very own Eva Nawoor

All of us at Studio S had a fantastic day today!
Jenni being 7 months pregnant and having to spend a lot of time in hospital recently has meant that all of us (especially Katie!) have had to work extra-hard to get everything ready for the carnival, but we think it all turned out REALLY well, thanks to a great team, so here are some 'thank you's:
First of all, thanks to the amazing Round Table Team, who do such fantastic work in our lovely community. Alsager Round Table, thanks for all that you do to support Studio S, and thanks especially to Daz whose very kind and encouraging words today meant at lot to us all.
We also had a lot of absolutely lovely comments today from those who saw us during the parade and / or in Milton Park. Many of you said that you had felt the dancing was very moving (it was in many different ways!) and that it bought joy to Alsager today, which we love to hear because whatever else is happening around us, Studio S is all about 'DANCING FOR JOY!'
Thanks to our amazing team of Chaperones and helpers, we simply could not manage without you and we are proud to work with you.
Thanks to our wonderful Studio S families who turn out to cheer us on no matter what the weather throws at us!
Thanks again to Ago at Melody Corporation Marquees for our generator which provided us with absolutely seamless sound - did anyone else think the music choices this year were fantastic?
Finally, HUGE thanks to all of our dancers who delighted us with amazing performances whilst in a (VERY FAST!) moving parade. Please do not underestimate the skills involved in this, and you were all simply amazing! We are so proud of what you achieve - well done to each and every one of you.

We are all VERY excited about ROCKIN' ALL OVER THE WORLD today at Alsager Carnival! We are looking forward to dancing through Alsager whatever the weather does to us. See you later!

🥳ALSAGER CARNIVAL THIS SATURDAY 🥳

Sorry about the delay in this information- had a mildly stressful few days!

The carnival is on saturday and all of our dancers are invited to take part. There are two sections - the parade around the town at 12 and then a performance in Milton Park 1.15pm-1.45pm

All normal Studio performing practices apply:

Children need to wear all black with no logos - shorts/leggings/joggers
Vest top or t shirt
And they must be wearing socks and trainers - any other footwear is unsafe for the parade. We then provide all costumes.

Hair needs to be in two French or Dutch braids - we have a lovely team of parents helpers who can do this for you if you are unable 😊

Children need to have eaten a substantial breakfast and bring a packed meal/snacks with them to eat before the parade.

We cannot transport everything the children bring with them so the less they bring is better - there will be a time on sat afternoon where we will open the studio for you to collect items. If not it would have to be next week.

Squad & teens arrival TBC by tuesday evening
Juniors and infants to arrive at 9am if they need hair doing, 9.45am if their hair is already done.

Our chaperones will es**rt the children to Asda car park where the parade begins. We will then dance around the parade route and finish in Milton Park, children will then be given water and awards take place by Alsager Round Table. Our performance is straight after the awards and we need to promptly get into position and start so it would be greatly appreciated if the children are not distracted during this small amount of time.

We are very happy for you to walk around the parade route with us but ask if you can leave space around the children and not join their lines as this is a huge safeguarding operation for us. Each chaperone has nominated children and the children are organised into lines and are following a dance led by our Improvers group so they need to be able to see in front of them. Some parents choose to pick a part of the route to wait for us - this is also absolutely fine - all children will be very well looked after! 😊

Signing out the children will take place immediately at Milton Park after the performance. This is usually a very busy time and we absolutely cannot release a child unless we have physically handed them over to a parent/ guardian and our chaperones have signed them out. We would really appreciate your cooperation with this as we want to do absolutely everything in our power to keep your children as safe as physically possible. We understand it's frustrating when you can see your child but they cant come to you straight away but we promise to be as quick as possible signing out.

We have arranged a rehearsal on Thursday 4-6pm for all ages. If your child cant attend this, they can still perform on saturday but we just need to know in advance.

Please let us know by weds at the latest if your children are wishing to perform as we need to ensure we have enough costumes made for everybody.

The Carnival is a wonderful free event for the children to take part in and it's always been a fantastic experience- we would love for your child to join in with the fun 💜
