England ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ vs Croatia ๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ‡ท kicks off at 9pm tonight, and weโ€™ve got a bit of an U11 Alligators parent showdown in our sweepstake! ๐Ÿ‘€

Backing Croatia, weโ€™ve got Taff Jones and flying the flag for England, itโ€™s Karl Burgess.

One of them will be heading home happy tonightโ€ฆ the other will no doubt be hearing about it at the next Alligators game! ๐Ÿ˜†

After a very narrow 6-run defeat for the 1st XI at Friday nightโ€™s T20, ACC bounced back in style with two league wins on Saturday.

๐Ÿ’š The 1st XI responded with a 28-run win over Elworth, thanks to an unbeaten century from M Nizam and a strong all-round display from W Hussain.

โญ The batting performance from the 2nd XI saw B Strong (114*) and H Haleem (76*) share an ACC season record 195-run partnership**, powering ACC to a dominant victory.

๐ŸŽฏ And it wasnโ€™t just the batters making headlines on Saturday, as three bowlers claimed four-wicket hauls:
โ€ข W Hussain 4-42
โ€ข J Khan 4-21
โ€ข K Leigh 4-37

๐ŸŒŸ Sundayโ€™s friendly against Betley was another success, with 8 junior players representing the B team - fantastic to see the next generation gaining valuable senior cricket experience.

๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ’ฏ TWO CENTURIONS, TWO WINS! ๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ’ฏ

A special day for ACC as both our Saturday sides recorded victories, thanks in no small part to two outstanding unbeaten centuries.

For the 1st XI, Muzammil Nizam anchored the innings superbly, finishing on 101* from 155 balls, including 13 fours, helping steer the side to victory.

2nd XI opener Billy Strong finally put an end to the clubโ€™s longest-running cliffhanger, smashing 114* from 127 balls, featuring 18 fours and a six. After 2 years of leaving us all wondering what might have been following his previous ACC best of 99*, Billy decided enough was enough and went one betterโ€ฆ and then another 14 better!

Congratulations to both batters on fantastic innings, and to both teams on securing the win. A day of centuries, unbeaten knocks, and maximum points for ACC! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ

There were plenty of laughs, some questionable cricket, and lots of great memories made as friends and family took to the field for a fantastic afternoon.
