Make sure you bring your numbers and carry water 💧💦💧....if you worry about your hydration.
Marshals will be guiding you along the whole route so please follow their directions to ensure your safety.
Please respect the nature reserve around Beadnell 🦆🐦

Race Information

Alnwick Harriers Coastal Run 2025

Race Start 10.30am. Sunday 27th July

Welcome to Alnwick Harriers Coastal Run 2025. Enclosed is all the important information you should need to help make your race the best experience possible. We hope you have a great day and a successful race. Numbers will be posted out approximately 2 weeks prior to the event.

Arrival + Parking

All parking is next to Hipsburn First School to pick up buses (NE66 3PX) £6 per car - profits to go to Alnmouth football club, cash or card.

Drop off only allowed in Beadnell

Club Buses

No club buses allowed in Beadnell, drop off just off the main road and walk down.

Parking in Alnmouth is limited. If there are no spaces, instruct your driver to park at Willowburn Leisure Centre in Alnwick and return for pick up after the event.

Buses to Start

Buses will leave Hipsburn First School (Sat Nav NE66 3PX) from 8.30am and the last bus will leave at 9.15am. Please be prompt.

If you paid for the bus when you entered the race, your race number will display a bus motif. There are no available places for bus seats other for those who registered on entering

Baggage bus will collect at Beadnell and be at the finish for collection.

Race Route

The route is back to its original format, so we start on the beach and stay on the beach heading south to Alnmouth

Marshalls will be along the route to direct you, please follow their guidance throughout our event

Prize Giving

At Alnmouth Links Golf Club at approximately 1.30. Refreshments available at the club house

Water

There are 3x water stations along the route, which will use paper cups to protect our environment. Please carry water if you feel you require more.

Safety

Please do not run under another person's number. Our insurance will only cover those officially registered. First Aid support is available throughout the route, please report to a marshall if in need of assistance

Northumberland Coastal Run – 27th July 2025 at 10.30am – ENTRIES NOW OPEN

Alnwick Harriers will be once again hosting the iconic Northumberland Coastal Run. We are keen to work closely with our community and environment so we are continuing to restrict our numbers to 1000. We will also be including a T-shirt in the cost of registration with an option to donate its value to our local charity, North Northumberland Hospice Care, if you don’t require one.

Registration is now open. We are opening earlier this year as we appreciate many people come and make the weekend a holiday, so there is more opportunity to book accommodation in advance. We are offering the option to transfer and this will be available up until six weeks prior to the event, June 15th 2025. Entries will be available up until the day of the event, however there will be no option for a T-shirt and/or a bus ticket after the 6 week point.

The cost this year will be the same as last year, £39 for affiliated runners and £41 for all those not affiliated.

The coach to the start will be available at a cost of £6 per head.

Final Registration

For anyone who is still interested in joining us on the day, we are opening registration for two days in July, Saturday the 6th and Sunday the 7th.

This will enable you to register for the event, however it will not be possible to order buses to the start, or T-Shirts, due to orders already been submitted.
