Congratulations to all the competitors who stepped on to the mats at the North of Scotland Junior Taekwon-do Championships on Saturday which was held at the Averon Centre in Alness. There was some great performaces across the board. The atmosphere was superb all day and good respect shown between the competitors and towards the umpires which was great to see.

A massive thank you to Grand Master Dunbar who kept proceedings running smooth all day, to all the umpires who gave up there time to referee all day without you there is no competition, to all the staff at the Averon Leisure Centre who were extremely helpful and accommodating, to all the helpers who helped setup and packed away and to everybody else who supported the tournament 🙌

Following on from the success of the last 2 years hosting the North of Scotland Junior Taekwon-do Championships. We are once again hosting the competition this Saturday 28th at the Averon Leisure Centre. Competition starts at 10am for any spectators coming to support the athletes. Spectator entry is free. There will be a coffee, tea and homebake and cake stall provided aswell accepting cash only. We look forward to welcoming all competitors for the tournament on Saturday 🙌

Well done to Murray Laing who was presented with the Student of the Year award.

We will be restarting classes on the 6th January. Everybody welcome to come and join us from age 7 and above.

Congratulations to Mr Brian O'Hare on his successful promotion to 3rd Degree Blackbelt. His grading consisted of a 4 hour practical examination, written theory paper and a thesis on 'Indomitable Spirit'. He really put the work in for this and was well earned and achieved. Well done that man 👏👏👏

Carrson, Elise, Mischa and Carter from the Alness Taekwon-do Academy competed at the National Championships in Motherwell on Saturday. Gold was the order of the day for these young athletes, they took home
6 x gold🥇
1 x silver 🥈

Alness came 11th in the over rankings with just 4 competitors.

A special congratulations to Carter Aird winning the overall youth male Scottish Champion with 3 golds. Incredible achievement, well done lad 🙌
