Last Friday, 20th January, was the last class at Alloa Dojo.
Sensei Jim has been teaching Karare for 37 years in Alloa/Tullibody, and although he will continue to train and instruct, this will now be solely from Dunfermline Dojo.

It was a very emotional last class with students from past and present, attending to wish him all the best and give thanks for the years of tuition he has given to students over the years.

We are lucky in Dunfermline to have Sensei Jim's knowledge and passion with us on the floor.

It is with great sadness that we learn of the passing of Ueki Masaaki Shuseki Shihan (10th Dan JKA), JKA chief instructor on 14th July 2024.

I have been blessed and honoured to have trained many times and graded/sat qualifications in Sensei's presence, which I will always remember.

On behalf of JKA Alloa, I express our deepest condolences to family, all the JKA headquarters members, and the entire JKA karate community.

All details, including the memorial service by JKA HQ, will be announced later.

🙏🏻 Rest in peace, Ueki Masaaki Shuseki Shihan.

2024, and we are now in the New Year, this means our classes are now open for our next intake of beginners.

Students wishing to return to karate are also welcome and can attend any of our classes.

JKA Scotland Championships are being held this weekend, Saturday 11th March, in Dunfermline.
