This Saturday is our opening day for our 100th anniversary. We shall be on the green just before 2pm for a photo call, then a welcome and a minute silence, a presentation from Bowls Scotland and then the season starts with the first jack and bowl of the season being thrown.
We have already welcomed 8 new members to the club, even before a bowl has been sent, so that is a testament to us as a club.
Our centenary year is going to be special for so many reasons ... The memories, the new changes (some to happen in the coming months still) and the wonderful games we shall play with our friends ... old and new ones.
All but one games will be at home this year.

If everyone who is coming on Saturday, could be at the club for 1.30pm please, in club shirts, so we can determine who is playing ie rinks needed, format etc.

If members would consider donating a bottle for our hospitality or our raffles, it would be very much appreciated. Food donations for our buffet on Saturday would also be appreciated.

Members make clubs and we have a good, family type unit at Alloa Co-op Bowling Club. May I take this opportunity to thank everyone who has spent their free time doing jobs and improvements around the club and grounds, and to Ann and Lewis for the sterling effort at keeping everybody watered, and in check.

I am doing my best with my multiple roles in the club and I have high expectations of myself, but I promise to always do my very best for/by you, the club, our representation to the wider bowling community, and the local community we have called home for a century.

SEE YOU SATURDAY!!!!
