Are you ready to take the next step in your gymnastics journey?

We are holding a Competitive Gymnastics Trial at Alloa Gymnastics Club and are looking for enthusiastic, hardworking gymnasts who are ready to challenge themselves and develop their skills in a fun, supportive, and rewarding environment.

📅 Date: Wednesday 24th June
⏰ Time: 4:00pm – 5:30pm
📍 Venue: Alloa Gymnastics Club
💷 Cost: £5

✨ Who can attend?

🔹 WAG Development / Pre-Development
Girls born in 2020, 2021 or 2022
(No previous experience required)

🔹 WAG
Girls born in 2017, 2018 or 2019
(some gymnastics experience required)

🔹 WAG (Older)
Girls born between 2012 and 2016 (WAG experience required)

🔹 Floor & Vault Gymnasts
Boys & girls born between 2019- 2010 (some experience recommended but not required)

What is Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG)? 🤸‍♀️

Women’s Artistic Gymnastics is a competitive discipline that develops strength, flexibility, coordination, confidence, and performance skills. Gymnasts train and compete on four apparatus: Vault, Bars, Beam and Floor.

What is Floor & Vault? ⭐

Floor & Vault is a competitive pathway that focuses on two apparatus. On Floor, gymnasts perform routines showcasing tumbling, leaps, jumps and flexibility. On Vault, gymnasts perform powerful skills over the vault table or blocks. This pathway is ideal for gymnasts who enjoy speed, power, tumbling and flips etc.

What will the trial involve?

Our coaching team will guide gymnasts through a range of activities designed to assess:
💪 Strength
🤸 Flexibility
⭐ Coordination and body control
🏃 Speed and power
😊 Attitude, focus and willingness to learn

Most importantly, we’re looking for gymnasts who enjoy being active, are eager to improve, and are willing to work hard while having fun.
Whether you’re hoping to begin your competitive journey or take the next step in your gymnastics development, we’d love to see you there!

SCOTTISH PREP GRADING 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏆

Huge congratulations to Charlotte who completed her Prep 1 grading today in Motherwell! 👏🤸‍♀️

This was Charlotte’s very first grading and she absolutely smashed it, achieving a Working beyond pass with a huge score of 62.350! Charlotte also made it into the top 10 on vault & beam. We are all so proud of the hard work, determination and effort she has put in.

A little shoutout also goes to Erin, who was meant to be grading today too, but unfortunately had to withdraw due to injury. Erin worked extremely hard in training and showed fantastic commitment while preparing for this grading. Your time will come and we’re all proud of you too 💪

🚧 Roadworks Update – Clackmannan Road 🚧

Access to Bruce Street(Wasps centre) is currently very restricted and not ideal due to ongoing roadworks on Clackmannan Road.

Because of this, we’d strongly suggest parking elsewhere and walking to the gym if possible, rather than trying to access Bruce Street to get to the centre.

There are also parking restrictions across the road at Hawkhill, so the best parking option may be Morrisons. However, temporary traffic lights are now in place at the Morrisons roundabout, so delays are likely there as well.

If you’re coming to class, please expect delays and allow extra time to get to training.

Our roads investment programme continues next week with the resurfacing of Clackmannan Road, Alloa from the Hawkhill junction nearest to KFC to Kwik Fit.

The road will be closed from Monday 11 May until Friday 22 May. Access to the Trade Centre and Bruce Street will be maintained. Road works report page via this link: https://orlo.uk/smEbZ

During the closure Midland Bluebird services H1, H2 and Stagecoach services 8A and X22 will be diverted via the B907 and Whins Road in both directions. You should contact the bus service provider direct with any queries about bus services.
