Everyone at Judo Club Esprit would like to wish Tabitha Callaghan the very best of luck as she travels to Holland with the JudoScotland team to compete! 💪🔥

A fantastic opportunity to represent Scotland on the international stage and put all that hard work into action. Go out there, enjoy the experience, and give it everything on the mat!

🔥 ARES CHAMPIONSHIP 2026 🔥

This Saturday, Judo Club Esprit heads south to High Wycombe for the ARES Championship.

Eight teams. One championship title. And one huge prize — promotion to the ARES Premiership. 🥋🔥

The ARES Championship brings together some of the best club teams from across the UK and Ireland for a full day of fast-paced, team-based judo under the unique ARES ruleset.

For Esprit, it’s a chance to step onto one of the biggest team stages in British judo, test ourselves against some of the strongest clubs around and represent the club on the national stage.

🥋 Looking for where they truly belong? 🥋

Do you feel like your child just hasn’t quite clicked with local football team ⚽?
Or rugby just sent feel right🏉?
Maybe dance or gymnastics hasn’t felt like their thing either? 💃🤸

It’s not them — it might just be finding the right place to shine ✨

At Judo Club Esprit, every child finds their spot.
They find confidence that sticks. Strength that grows. Friends that cheer them on.
And a home where they feel seen, valued, and exactly where they should be 💛

🌺 Helping Children Blossom — in their own time, in their own way.

Come see what we’re all about. This could be where they finally feel like they belong.

We are coming, we are ready to step into the mat, and leave it all there. Ares Fighting Films

🌸 Helping Children Blossom 🌸

This is what it’s all about. 💛

At Judo Club Esprit, we don’t just teach judo — we help every child grow in confidence, build lifelong friendships, learn respect, and find their strength, on and off the mat. 🥋✨

Look at these amazing young people — focused, eager, and growing together. Every class, every bow, every small step is them blooming right before our eyes. 🌷

We’re so proud to guide them every step of the way. 💙

As nominations roll in for the 2026 JudoScotland Community Awards, we're looking back at our 2025 Referee/Technical Official of the Year, Kirsty McNealis.

Despite never stepping onto the mat as a judoka, Kirsty has become a cornerstone of the Scottish judo community through her dedication as a Technical Official and club volunteer. What began as supporting her son at competitions grew into a passion for helping events run smoothly and creating a supportive environment for officials, volunteers, and competitors alike. Her story is a powerful reminder that there are many ways to make a difference in judo!

Know a Technical Official or Referee who goes above and beyond? Nominate them for the 2026 JudoScotland Community Awards below ⬇
