Massive well done to the boys today in our final game of the season and our last ever game of 7-a-side football. And what a way to finish it with a well deserved win ⚽️⚽️⚽️

I’m incredibly proud of every one of them. It was a bit of a shaky start, but once they settled into the game they took control, played some great football, and kept applying pressure right until the final whistle. The effort, determination and teamwork on display were outstanding.

As we close the chapter on 7s, it’s hard not to look back and appreciate how far the boys have come. From running around in Fun 4s to now playing proper competitive football, they’ve developed massively, not just as players, but as young people too.

It’s been a really enjoyable season and a fitting way to say goodbye to 7-a-side football. Now it’s on to the next challenge with 9s, and I have no doubt the boys will take it in their stride and keep progressing together.

For now, enjoy the break and enjoy the World Cup.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Final game of the season for Wasp Black 🐝 ⚽️

A fast and energetic start saw the boys make a big impact in the first half, with the team playing some excellent attacking football. The second half proved more challenging, and a few costly mistakes shifted the momentum, but there were plenty of valuable lessons to take from the game.

Wasp Black vs Dunblane

A brilliant end-to-end game today, with all the boys playing their part. After a slow start, the boys showed great character and determination to battle back throughout the match. Man of the match goes to Harrison Mickey Buns ⭐ for his superb hat-trick ⚽️ ⚽️ ⚽️ and tireless display. Thomas scored his first Wasps goal ⚽️ with a cheeky back heel 👏 and Brodie netted a late equaliser ⚽️ It was a thoroughly entertaining game.

ABRONHILL UTD VS WASP BLACK

A late game today gave all the boys time to wake up but unfortunately it was one of the days when a lot of chances just weren’t for going in. Rhys came close with smashing the corner of the bar and post, before Harrison Mickey Buns also came close but the post denied him. Debut lad Thomas had some great runs with great footwork. We finally found the net through Finn Decor with some lovely footwork before Brodie smashed the bar for probably the 5th game in a row. Halftime came and went and the boys fought away before Harrison grabbed another for the wasps, Niall made some great saves all the way through the game, before Elyes who battled the full game grabbed a 3rd for the wasps 🐝 ⚽️

Today’s man of the match could have went to a few of the boys but it has to be Elyes ⭐ after picking up an injury on Monday at training then being ill midweek. He came to the game and battled everyone and almost winning every battle aswell as following every single instruction given to him throughout the game

Not the result we wanted but the boys are definitely getting back to the ways we were before, keep it up lads 🐝 💪

Wasp Black vs Riverside

Slow start to the game today with not much happening in the first half apart from some brilliant saves from Niall. The boys came alive in the second half and created a few great chances that just narrowly missed.

Joint Man of the Match today goes to Rhys and Harrison Mickey Buns👏⚽️

Rhys was winning almost every challenge in the second half and was solid in the tackle, while Harrison covered every blade of grass today, made some excellent runs, and topped it off with a great goal.
