How my 3 pregnancies have been completely different 👶🤰
Pregnancy 1️⃣
I didn’t eat or train well at all.
I genuinely thought going to the gym would harm the baby, so I avoided it altogether.
I ate rubbish, felt constantly lethargic and swollen, and recovery + postpartum weight loss felt really hard.
Pregnancy 2️⃣
I went into it in a much better place physically.
I was training regularly, fuelling my body properly and felt confident continuing to train - right up until 35 weeks.
I qualified in pre & postnatal exercise and was back in the gym 6 weeks post c-section.
Pregnancy 3️⃣ (twins 👶👶)
A whole different ball game.
First trimester symptoms hit harder, lots of aches and pains stopped me training early on.
Started back at 19 weeks, pelvic girdle pain from 16 weeks, already a mum of two… and honestly just taking each day as it comes.
✨ The bottom line
Every pregnancy is unique.
Eating well and training can be hugely beneficial - but only if you’re well and able to do so.
It’s not all or nothing. You can adapt, slow it down, and get support from a qualified coach (me 👋🏻) to guide you safely through pre & postnatal training.
🤍 My plan right now
• Keep doing what I can.
• Train on the days I have the energy.
• Eat to fuel, not restrict.
• And give myself grace instead of pressure.
If you’re pregnant or postnatal and feeling unsure - you’re not failing. You’re listening to your body 💫
I am fully qualified in pre and post natal exercise and nutrition so if you need some advice, pop me a dm 🩷
