How to not f* up peak week❌

The magic week were you can totally turn round a physique? Doesn’t work like that unfortunately. Burger and diazide? Playing with fire there.

The best peak weeks mean being ready early, legitimately ready. Take it day by day, chase small changes to the look, don’t try reinvent the wheel. The more simplistic it can be, the more predictable the outcome.

The most important factor in building muscle⬇️

Training intensity ultimately is the be all end all when it comes to driving changes within the body, you can have the most optimal, scientifically built training plan but if you can’t apply adequate intensity you’ll see no change.

It’s also the one thing that can be the hardest to admit needs working on, everyone think’s they train hard, most do BUT there is usually always new level’s that can be found the more experienced you get.

Training is a skill, one that’s often overlooked simply because you can shift the weight from A to B. In reality how the weight is moved, the intent behind it and the ability to push past what you deem ‘failure’ will change over time.

Train with people further ahead than you, train with people who have done what you want to do, be open to taking advice and never stop learning.

How to avoid a bubble gut on stage🚫

If the only consideration around how your midsection will look on stage is during prep, you’ve probably already missed the mark. Year round care needs to be taken so you don’t end up blowing your waist out, because once you have it’s extremely hard to get back.

Save and circle back to ensure your keeping your waist nice and tight📝

First time competing this year? Listen up👂🏼

A few things I’d recommend to anyone going into their first season this year that looking back I wish I’d possibly done differently. Most importantly just enjoy yourself, you’ll only be a first timer once. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself, be present and learn to enjoy the hard days.
