Allendale Football club plays its home games at the Allendale Sports Club. Located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty this picturesque venue offers members and visitors one of the best footballing facilities in Tynedale. The club currently run teams for U7, U8, U9, U10, U14 and also fun development sessions for 4-5 year olds. Allendale FC gained FA Charter Standard in 2012 and all junior coa

ches have up to date FA coaching and safeguarding certificates. Training takes place on selected week nights and games are played on Saturday mornings in the Tyndale Mini Soccer League and North East Youth Development League. On Match days we also offer hot & cold refreshments produced by our parent volunteers in our well stocked Kitchen. We are very much a community club, encouraging participation and enjoyment of the game in a safe environment, the club are always on the lookout for new players, coaches and referees for which we will provide full sponsorship of any training and F.A. We’d especially like to grow our numbers in the 10-14 age range, so if you’re interested in playing please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Wow what a great start to the 2026/27 Hexham & District League Div 1 campaign!
Allendale FC 4 v Greenside 2

Greenside started brightly and took the lead with a good free kick in the 15th min. Allendale dug in and began to get into the game! Mick Liddle levelled things in the 23rd min after putting pressure on the keeper and scoring with a cool finish!
2 mins later Allendale took the lead after Matthew Pringle launched a free kick forward that Ollie Cartwright headed off the bar and it fell to Adam Walton who made no doubt heading home. 2-1
Adam Boyd made a huge save with his feet moments before the break keeping Allendale in front at HT

In the 47th min Jake Reed scored with an excellent long range free kick lofted forward with Ollie Cartwright causing problems in the box! 3-1
On 50 mins Greenside scored another free kick to make it 3-2 but Allendale pushed on and after Jake Reed went very close with another long range free kick 10 mins later, in the 70th min it was 4-2 Jake Reed at it again whipping in a tremendous cross which was met by Ollie Cartwright who smashed the ball home!
It was pretty comfortable from then on for the home team with substitutions giving fresh energy for Allendale and Liddle very nearly scored a 2nd with a super hit that rose just over the bar 10 mins from the end!

Wark FC 1 v Allendale FC 1

The lads travelled to Wark Sports Club this morning for the final pre-season friendly before the start of the new league campaign.
Archie White’s strike after just 5 mins turning in a squared ball into the box from Man of the match Ryan MacNeil after he did well down the left side! Saw Allendale take an early lead in what turned out to be a good competitive warm up game.

The Wark keeper made some terrific saves as he stared for the home team, notably keeping out a super strike from Archie White and then pulling off a double save as he stopped Ryan Macneil’s spot kick awarded after Ricky Hayes was bundled over in the box and then the subsequent follow up!

However it finished all square as Wark scored midway through the 2nd half despite Allendale dominating for large periods.
Thank you to Wark for organising the match and we wish them good luck for the upcoming season.

Next up for the Dale is the 2026/27 Div 1 league opener next Sunday at Allendale Sports Club as we take on Greenside.

Tough morning for the lads today as we were defeated 6-4 by 10 man Hexhamshire.
Scorers for Allendale were Archie White, Jamie Elwood, Aaron Richie and Adam Walton.

Allendale FC 5 v Haydon Bridge Utd 2

That was a very good work out tonight in hot conditions against a hardworking Bridge side at Mill Cottages!
Everyone played their part in a really good win in a competitive friendly game.
Aaron Ritchie scored a fine hat-trick, Will Morris finished off a lovely move with a neat strike and Luke Bloomer scored a superb header from a terrific Ricky Hayes ball!
It could have been more when Sam Clarke smashed a strike off the post! But the game finished 5-2 to Allendale.

Thanks to Haydon Bridge for making the trip tonight on a work night and we wish them all the best for the upcoming season.

Next up for Allendale is the 2025/26 league cup semi final at Tyne Green against Hexhamshire on Sunday 23rd August at 10.30am 👍⚽️

Allendale FC 6 v Corbridge Utd 2

Another good warm up game this morning at Mill Cottages as we hosted Corbridge.
It was a good performance from all the lads which included a number who have made the step up to senior football from the junior ranks 👏🏻👏🏻
The goals came from Jamie Ellwood, and skipper Stuart Bell with Aaron Ritchie and Archie White bagging 2 each!

Thanks to the Corbridge boys for coming back to the pub and we wish them all the best for the upcoming season.
