ATJFC U13 Titans match report

The Titans followed their first week win with a well fought 3-2 victory against Chadd Colts.

A back and forth game where Titans battled back from a break away goal in the first half. The lads showed great resilience for the entire game.

A competitive debut from Mylo who contributed with a goal and an assist. A really strong performance in the middle of the park.

Our goalkeeper Logan made a number of fantastic saves to keep the Chadd strikers at bay. And at half time could have easily been player of the match.

But Alfie followed an impressive performance last week with an even better performance this week. His strength and constant battling resulted in 2 well deserved goals and an assist. And was rightfully the player of the match for Titans.

The lads really showed some great teamwork and never gave up, with the winning goal coming just 1 minute from full time.

As always a big shoutout to our parents for their support.

U9 Alfreton Vipers vs Chellaston Tigers Match Report

The Alfreton Vipers put on a fantastic display in their second game of the season, producing an exciting performance full of teamwork, determination, and quality football against Chellaston Tigers.
The Vipers started brightly and were quickly on the attack. Lucas tested the goalkeeper early with two efforts on goal, while the Tigers' keeper was called into action to make a brilliant save. The breakthrough soon arrived when Blake unleashed a screamer into the net to give the Vipers the lead.
The team continued to play some excellent football, with Harley finding the goal after a great pass from Jude. Strong passing moves were becoming a feature of the Vipers' play, and Lucas set the tone defensively with an excellent tackle. The pressure continued to build, forcing an own goal from Chellaston as the Vipers extended their advantage.
Defensively, the Vipers were outstanding. Harley produced a superb tackle, Jax held the line brilliantly, and Noah confidently dealt with a dangerous free-kick. Mason was alert throughout, sweeping up loose balls and protecting the goal whenever needed.
The attacking play was equally impressive. Lucas and Harley combined brilliantly on several occasions, creating and scoring goals through their excellent understanding. Kingy worked hard at both ends of the pitch, earning corners and creating opportunities, while Blake remained a constant threat. Jax also thrilled spectators with some excellent footwork as the Vipers controlled much of the first half.
The second half continued in the same manner. The team's passing and movement were superb, with Jax once again excelling, breaking up attacks and frustrating the opposition. Lucas showed great skill on the wing, dribbling down the line before finishing a well-worked move. Another excellent team goal followed, with a corner from Kingy leading to a Harley pass and a Lucas finish.
The whole squad looked in top form. Harley hit the crossbar, Blake continued to test the opposition defence, and Noah produced more important saves when called upon. Lucas crossed dangerously into the box, and Blake provided a lovely pass for Jude to score. The partnership between Lucas and Harley continued to shine, combining once again for another goal.
As the game drew to a close, Jax remained solid in defence, continually stopping opposition attacks, while Noah made another crucial block. It capped off a cracking team performance from the Vipers, who showed quality, commitment, and excellent teamwork throughout.

Jax earned the Players' Player award for his outstanding defensive display, regularly winning the ball back, stopping attacks, and showing great strength and determination throughout the match.
Final Verdict: A brilliant all-round performance from the Alfreton Vipers, with excellent teamwork, strong defending, and some superb goals making it a memorable second game of the season. 🐍⚽

Match report - ATJFC U14 All Stars v Rainworth Juniors

All Stars 7–0 Rainworth Juniors

What a way to start the 2026/27 season! After a summer break, Sunday mornings at DNA are back, and the All Stars wasted no time making their mark! 🔥⚽

Following weeks of hard work and preparation, we welcomed Rainworth Juniors to DNA. The lads were full of energy from the first whistle, and our new recruits, Evan and Daniel, immediately caused problems with their pace.

The All Stars created early chances, and the pressure soon paid off. Lewis reacted quickest from a poorly defended corner to fire us into the lead.

1–0!

The midfield then took control, with runners everywhere and Rainworth struggling to cope with the intensity. Harry spotted the keeper off his line and calmly picked his spot to double the advantage.

2–0!

The All Stars continued to dominate, while Layton, Dylan and George kept things tight at the back. George had little to do in goal, but when called upon, he calmly collected the ball and helped launch another attack.

Wave after wave of pressure eventually led to a third. Charlie showed great composure, lifting the ball over the Rainworth keeper and into the net.

3–0!

Rainworth struggled to break through, and the All Stars kept pushing. Austin’s persistence and hard work were rewarded as he eventually found the back of the net.

4–0!

Half Time: All Stars 4–0 Rainworth

The second half brought more of the same. The All Stars continued to press, creating chance after chance and stretching Rainworth across the pitch.

Harry then struck again from the edge of the box, calmly finishing to make it five.

5–0!

The All Stars were rampant. Whenever Rainworth threatened, the defence and George were there to shut the door. Leo worked tirelessly, Dylan made brilliant runs, and the whole team continued to move the ball with purpose.

Daniel then ghosted in at the back post and calmly slotted home.

6–0!

Rainworth were running out of answers, but the All Stars showed no signs of slowing down. Harry completed his hat-trick with another composed finish.

7–0!

Isaac also did brilliantly to win a penalty, although we’ll conveniently forget what happened next! 😂

The final whistle confirmed a dominant opening-day victory.

The lads played with huge intensity from start to finish, putting Rainworth under serious pressure throughout. The back line and George were excellent when called upon, the midfield completely bossed the game, and the forward line looked dangerous all afternoon.

There will be tougher tests ahead, but the standard has been set. A massive well done to every player for a brilliant team performance and an outstanding start to the season! 👏⚽

As the new season gets underway please remember….no ref, no game!

This season, if you see a referee wearing a yellow armband, they are a child.

A young person brave enough to pick up a whistle, walk into the middle of a football pitch and make decisions in front of players, coaches and parents.

They won't get every decision right.

Neither will the players.
Neither will the coaches.
Neither will you.

So when you see that yellow armband:

Be patient.
Encourage them.
Protect them.
Let them learn.

Because that 15-year-old you support this weekend could become a referee for the next 30 years.

The one who gets shouted at, abused or humiliated?

They might put the whistle down on Sunday and never pick it up again.

U9 Raptors Match Report 🦖⚽️

What an opening game of the season for the Raptors!

Every single player in a Raptors shirt worked their socks off from the very first whistle to the final blow. The action was end-to-end in a thrilling contest that saw both teams trading goals in a brilliant display of grassroots football.

​The match got off to a roaring start thanks to an unbelievable performance from Charlie H in goal. He commanded his area brilliantly, demonstrating impressive control of his box, making several outstanding saves, and showing incredible courage with brave dives right at the feet of the incoming attackers.

​At the back, Willis set the standard in defense with an incredible work rate, showing immense strength and executing perfectly timed tackles. Willis judged his moments brilliantly to step up and push forward into the attack, unleashing a few stunning long-range shots that came within inches of hitting the back of the net.

​Out on the flanks, Colson and Harvey were electric as wingers, delivering complete performances. They made relentless, high-energy runs down the pitch and whipped dangerous balls into the box. Colson's relentless attacking threats paid off as he bagged a well-deserved goal, while Harvey produced a barrage of brilliant shots and was deeply unlucky not to get on the scoresheet himself—all while both players tracked back tirelessly to support the defense.

​Up front, the attacking pair of Charlie F and Aria looked lethal. The opposition defense was given zero time to breathe thanks to the constant high press and electric pace on display from both forward players, with both Aria and Charlie F being rewarded for their clinical work up top with well-taken goals!

It was a complete team effort, and there was nothing but praise from the parents and coaches on the sidelines.

​Parents’ Player of the Match: Aria – Earned for her non-stop running, relentless battling up top, and incredible work rate, which was fittingly rewarded with a beautifully taken finish 💪

U12 Eagles Match Report 🦅

On Saturday, the Eagles made the first, of what will be, many trips to Nottingham to kick start their 26/27 campaign with a very tough opposition in Notts County Girls.

New signing Jonah made his debut between the sticks and an ever familiar face from years gone by, Kye, returned to the wing.

Jonah in net, A back three made up of Alfie, Finlay and Ben, Midfield consisting of Ed and Saul in the middle, Kye on the left and Ethan on the right, with Jacob leading the charge up front is how the Eagles lined up. Mason, George and Jack on the bench, ready to get involved.

A new location and what felt like a really small 9 a side pitch was the destination for what would turn out to be a pretty entertaining game.

Kick off came, pressure and end to end right from the start culminated in Notts taking an early lead in the 8th minute.

Undeterred, the Eagles found the perfect response 9 minutes later when Jacks clever throughball found Jacob who slotted home on 17'.

A minute before the break, the ball was loose in the middle, picked up by a Notts player who thumped it into the Net just before half time.

Half time, Mango was broke out by Nick, instructions to keep shape, stay calm and try make the pitch as wide as possible were given in the hope we could get back into the game.

3 minutes into the second half, the Mango kicked in. A clever pass from Kye found Mason who hit the back of the net on 33'... Equaliser!

It was short lived however as on 38' the Eagles conceeded a free kick on the edge of the area. Up stepped the Notts winger who looped a shot over everyone and found the net... 3rd time in the match the Eagles found themselves behind.

A few moments of what seemed like neverending goal kicks, Ed found Mason who rounded the keeper and hit the ball into an empty net on 46' back to all square with all to play for!

On 55' the Eagles had their first corner of the match. Ed floated the ball in, a muddle in the middle saw Jacob nudge the ball towards Ethan who poked it home! 55 minutes played and the first time the Eagles were ahead!

The boys dug in deep and battled hard to see out the win. A fantastic game of football to start off the campaign.

MOTM: Mason! Mase was really composed infront of the net. He applied pressure wherever it was needed, didn't stop running and grabbed himself a couple of goals! Well done Mase!

PMOTM: Jonah! A great debut for Jonah. He was constantly quick off his line to intercept the ball, solid saves and his distribution was second to none! Well done Jonah!

U9 Vipers Kick Off the Season in Style ⚽️🐍

The Vipers got their season underway with an excellent team performance, showing great teamwork, determination and plenty of attacking intent from the first whistle.
Blake started strongly and helped create the opening goal, with Harley getting on the scoresheet first. The team moved the ball around well throughout the match, producing some impressive passing football. Jude put in some important tackles early on, while Lucas was unlucky not to score with an early effort.
Harley remained a constant threat, testing the keeper on several occasions and creating chances through excellent link-up play with Blake and Lucas. Blake also came close to scoring himself with a fantastic effort that rattled the crossbar.
Lucas soon found the back of the net, rewarding his hard work with a well-deserved goal. Kingy and Mason both slotted into the game well after coming on, while Lucas delivered a dangerous corner. At the other end, Jude made a vital intervention to keep a goal out, and Jax was outstanding in defence with several crucial clearances.
Noah provided confidence between the posts, making sure the Vipers' goal stayed protected, while Jax continued to impress with his defensive skills.
The second half started in perfect fashion as Lucas scored almost immediately from kick-off. Jax continued to contribute going forward, putting dangerous balls into the box, while Noah pulled off another excellent save to deny the opposition.
Jude worked tirelessly to help and was later rewarded with a brilliantly controlled goal of his own. Kingy battled well to win possession, and Lucas and Jude combined effectively throughout the half. Harley continued to create problems for the opposition, both in attack and defence, while Mason stood strong at the back.
With Harley delivering dangerous corners, Jax winning the ball consistently, and Blake trying his luck from distance, the Vipers maintained their energy and commitment until the final whistle. Noah remained dependable in goal, ensuring the team finished strongly.
It was an outstanding first match of the season, with every player playing their part in a fantastic team performance. The Vipers showed great teamwork, effort and determination, giving everyone plenty to be excited about for the season ahead. 🐍⚽💚

🦂U12 SCORPIONS MATCH REPORT🦂

First game of the season for the U12 Scorpions, up against an unfamiliar opponent DJFC at DNA this morning. Starting with Jonah in goal, Louis, Charlie and Finlay in defence. Edward, Oskar and Kye in midfield with Mason and Jacob up top⚽️

The game got underway and it was clear this was going to be a close match, with both teams battling for the ball early on💪🏻 early chance from both sides but it was the reds that found the target first, Kye managing to wiggle his way through the midfield to find Jacob who slotted the ball past the goal keeper, excellent start! Both teams were battling hard and chances came for DJFC, goalkeeper Jonah was called into action a few times, followed by some brilliant defending from the reds back line.

Edward and Oskar worked hard in the midfield, Oskar having the vision and accuracy to pick out his team mates with some excellent passing, even getting some brilliant shots off but the DJFC goalkeeper was on fine form today. Edward was also on fire today putting in the tackles and winning the ball back in the midfield. Our strikers Mason and Jacob both causing havoc running the front line. Jacob in true style was relentless at closing down the opposition and winning the ball, get a few shots off on goal. Mason was also on form today easing his way past the defenders and get them crosses into the box.

DJFC didn’t stop, and their efforts were awarded not long before the half time whistle, managing to sneak past the Alfreton defence to slot the ball into the net, a brilliant well earned team goal.

Second half got underway with a few changes in personnel, Harry took over up top and was an absolute menace running at the defenders causing problems, whilst Archie and Morgan also entered the field. Morgan was solid in defence, winning the ball back and making them last minute tackles and Archie kept his composure making those all important passes and tackles 💪🏻

Finlay and Charlie worked well together in defence, both covering the back line in unison.

A last minute free kick for Alfreton and Oskar delivering the perfect cross in which Alfreton couldn’t capitalise on, DJFC saw the opportunity and broke free carrying the ball back into Alfretons half which their striker slotted past Jonah with the last kick of the game! An absolute gutting feeling to concede with the last kick of the game, but the coaches made their opinions clear, the boys were fantastic and showed real character in today’s games.

The parents player of the match went to Oskar for his excellent display in midfield, and the coaches player of the match went to Finlay for his outstanding defending 🏆🏆
