Last week saw the first pump track race of 2026 at Haughton Park Pump Track. Another fantastic event organised by Deeside Thistle Cycling Club. Thanks to all the coaches, volunteers, racers and spectators for braving the changable weather! Thank you also to all those that bought refreshments from Friends of Haughton Park. The money raised goes straight back into track maintenance for the year. Looking forward to round 2!

Entries are now live for the first of this year’s pump track races organised by The race will be on the evening of Thursday 14th May and we’ll need to close the track from around 4.30pm that day to anyone who isn’t racing.

Grampian Inclusive Cycling Bothies are running accessible and inclusive for everyone cycling sessions at the Deveron Community and Sports Centre athletics track in Banff on a Thursday afternoon. They have a selection of adapted bikes which can be used and would love to have some new local groups and individuals experience the joy of cycling in such a beautiful location. Sessions are free for any individual or group to attend and they are happy to work with individuals to ensure they are supported throughout the process, from initially attending the session, choosing the right bike and supporting them to grow their confidence on a bike. The bikes are suitable for a range of disabilities and additional support needs; however the sessions are open to anyone to attend, including carers, supporters and family members.


The sessions take place fortnightly on a Thursday from 13:45-15:15. Upcoming sessions are on the following dates, and hopefully continue throughout the summer:

26th February
12th March
26th March
9th April
23rd April

🚲Whether it's your first time on a bike, or you're a regular, we can't wait to cycle with you in 2026.

If you, or your kids/grandkids have used the pump track & all-ability trail since it opened at the end of last year, could we please ask that you take 5 minutes to complete the user survey below. The survey is being undertaken by one of our funders - Sportscotland (Cycling Facilities Fund) and is looking to find out what you think of the new facility. The feedback will help them understand how the facility is being used and where it’s having the biggest impact. The survey is open until the 8th December. Thank You!

Just a wee reminder about our volunteering morning this Saturday - we’d love to see you there!

We’re gearing up for a volunteer morning to do some track maintenance, put up some new signage and plant some trees and bulbs in readiness for Spring. Everyone welcome - dress for the weather and bring tools if you have them. Under 16’s must bring their responsible adult.
