Senior Gents 3-man Texas Scramble Open

We had 34 teams entered our Open today and thanks goes to all who played with a special welcome to our visitors from various clubs across the NE.

Prizes today go to (all Alford):

1st - £80 each - nett 56 - Neil Stuart, Royan Stuart and Bert Thulborn
2nd - £60 each - nett 57 - Gordon Rennie, Morgan Edwards and Colin Spence
3rd - £40 each - nett 58 (bih) - Ross Watt, John Kinsella and Graham Barrett
4th - £30 each - nett 58 - James Stuart, Graham Gerrard and Alistair MacKay

Thanks to the greenkeepers, clubhouse staff and volunteers for all their help and hard work today.

We have our next Open on Sunday 28th June which is a Pairs Stableford (both scores count). Teams may be 2 male, 2 female or mixed. Entry £20 per pair via our website.

If you would like to join us and watch Scotland's World Cup matches please reserve your places now. We already have our annual Sponsors Day on Friday 19th June, so the bars will be busy and we have limited spaces left.
Sheets for both games are behind the bar, so please speak to a member of staff to reserve your place to avoid missing out.

Alford Mixed Greensomes Open

42 pairs entered our Open today and some really good scores returned.

Best scratch score of the day was a gross 70 by Emma Gissing from the Aberdeenshire Ladies County Golf Association and John Elrick of Meldrum House. They each receive £75.

The handicap prizes were as follows (Alford unless otherwise stated):
1st - nett 62 - Gill Bayman (Longniddry Golf Club) and Keith Alderton - £75 each
2nd - nett 64 - Meryl Miller and Sandy Stewart, £50 each
3rd - nett 65 - Lorna & Jim Nicol - £40 each

Congratulations to all and vouchers will be sent to your respective golf clubs early next week.

Many positive comments about the course today so thanks to the greenkeeping team for their efforts. Thanks also to the clubhouse staff and volunteers for all their hard work.

We have our next Pairs Stableford Open (both scored count) on Sunday 28th June, £20 entry per team. Booking available through our website or by calling the club.
