Leven Dance Academy Classes for all abilities ages 2+ in Highland, Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Acro

Leven Dance Academy is based in Alexandria and offers classes to all abilities, from beginner to advanced. All classes are taught by a qualified teacher and are available in a range of styles - Highland, Ballet, Jazz and Tap. Pupils will have the opportunity to take part in BATD exams, competitions and performances or are welcome to come along just for fun!

We have had so many amazing new dancers join us this term but a special little mention to Aivrey who was the first gold star winner in her class 🌟

Aivrey has made such an excellent start to her dance journey! She has shown a great work ethic so far - trying so hard to learn all her new steps and is doing an excellent job of listening carefully and following instructions in all of her classes! She has settled in so well already, made lots of new friends and seems to be having lots of fun in class - exactly what it’s all about 🥰

Super proud of Kirsten and Amy who danced their highland choreography solos beautifully in Dundee yesterday!

So lovely to have Amy out competing again - well done on a great job in such a crazy difficult section 🤩 Kirsten done a fabulous job too! Her first competition with us and her first time ever learning any highland choreography - amazing to learn it and perform it so well in such a short time, well done! 🌟

Our first prize winner this year was Eden ✨

Eden completed her sticker chart after being our gold star winner in Junior Highland on Friday for her excellent work and determination on learning her National dances in preparation for moving up to beginners at the end of the year! She worked super hard at her Thursday highland class too, every time I told her to go and take a break she ran straight over to Millie and asked her to teach her another new step 😂🌟

They’ve all been eyeing up the new wee squishy ducks so obviously Eden was delighted to chose two of those as her prize 😅

Our first gold star winner of the year absolutely had to go to this little superstar, Demi! 🌟

Demi’s tap work tonight was outstanding! We had a class full of new steps and she picked up every one so quickly and was dancing them so beautifully! She also did a superb job learning all her new steps in her jazz and ballet classes - clever girl, Demi! 🤩

Due to popular demand, and with our classes reaching full capacity last year, we have added new Highland classes this year - including classes for beginners! ✨

Highland is an absolute firm favourite at Leven Dance Academy and what a year our talented competition team have had! 🌟

So beyond impressed with how hard this girl worked in her private lesson yesterday! Her first time learning any highland choreography and we managed to finish a full solo (full of lots of new steps!) in one class! Excellent work Kirsten, keep up the practice at home 🤩

I hope all of our wonderful dancers are having the best first day back at school! 🥰

A very special good luck to all of our little ones starting P1 today! I know how excited you have all been and you are all more than ready! The start of a new chapter - go show everyone how smart, kind and amazing you all are! Have loved seeing all of your photos in your new uniforms so far and looking forward to hearing all about your first days when I see you at class ☺️

I don’t think us teachers are quite as excited about being back at school 😅 BUT back to school means back to dance and I am definitely excited for that! See you all later in the week 🩵

Our amazing Lexi with her special wee prize at the end of term to recognise her incredible achievement of gaining the highest overall marks across the whole school in this year’s exams!! 🌟

Lexi is an absolute DREAM to teach! Her natural talent was evident from her very first class, but it’s her hard work and attitude that have helped her achieve such incredible marks. She comes to every class ready to work hard, gives 100% every single week and is always so eager to learn and improve. She listens carefully to every correction, keeps working on it until she gets it right and never stops trying to be the best dancer she can be. She’s also so kind and helpful to her classmates, making her a lovely role model in class too. Very well deserved, Lexi! We are so proud of you and can’t wait to see what you achieve next 💫
