Walsall Roads Cycling Club

Walsall Roads Cycling Club One of the oldest cycling clubs in the UK! Recreational cycling in and around the Walsall area. We are an active cycling club based in the West Midlands.

The majority of our members ride time trials & each year our club runs a series of weekend and evening time trails , where anyone can turn up & race (No race licence required or even club membership - just a bike). We also promote three open time trials, hill climbs and a road race.

A group of 10 WRCC riders set out on Saturday. I wasn't on this particular ride, but the data suggests that it was a lively one. Between 70 and 80 miles at 18.5 to 18.9 mph for those who did the full ride. Well done, chaps.

A group of 10 WRCC riders did a 70 mile (80 mile for some) ride over to Market Drayton on Saturday 16th July. This was a great turnout considering the distance involved and the heat.
A few of the group cooled down with a well-earned beer at the end of the ride.

7 WRCC members braved a very windy 50 mile ride over rolling terrain to the Old Bakers Cottage at Newborough. Almost blown off our bikes a couple of times but we all made it safely home.

On new year's eve, a group 8 WRCC riders did a 46 mile ride, including a stop at the Apley Farm cafe. Looking at all those smiling faces, I think we can safely say that they had an enjoyable outing. Well done for getting out and taking advantage of the unseasonably mild weather.
