Today’s fixture sees Pyestock CC welcome Qaim Lions XI for the first-ever meeting between the two sides.

We’re looking forward to hosting the first of two planned games at Aldershot this season and hope the weather is a little more cricket-friendly than last week.

Pyestock CC battled through cold, wet and windy conditions last week to secure a 3-wicket win over Ewell CC at Rudgley Lane.

Ewell posted 182-9 from their 40 overs, led by Dholoi Chowdhary’s 50 and Umar Farooq’s quick 27, while Sam Armes, Dan Ackehurst and Jake Baldwin all picked up 2 wickets each to keep the innings under control.

In reply, Ben Ellington anchored the chase superbly with 64, well supported by Sam Armes’ 32, as Pyestock reached 183-7 in 36.2 overs to seal the victory. 🏏

A big thank you to Ewell CC, and we wish them the best of luck for the rest of the season!

A tough result for Pyestock this weekend in the sun.

After a dominant 172-run opening partnership set us up for a strong total of 247, hopes were high heading into the second innings.

But with a bowler short and not much luck going our way, Widmer End chased it down with relative ease.

IOW Tour 2025 – Sunday at Ryde

Sunday saw us return to the familiar setting of Ryde CC, this time with sunshine on our side and a point to prove.

A strong bowling performance from Pyestock helped restrict Ryde to 183, setting us up nicely.

The chase was confident and controlled, with a great all-round batting effort securing the win at Ryde.

Congratulations to Jake Baldwin on the standout innings – scoring his first ever 💯 with a brilliant 101 off 91 balls.

IOW Tour 2025 – Saturday Round-Up

Saturday saw us finish with a 50/50 record – a loss to Porchfield CC but a solid win against West Yeomen CC to even things out.

We did well to get both games in before the rain hit. The final match of the day, Porchfield vs West Yeomen, was abandoned due to the weather.

Big thanks to Porchfield Cricket Club for hosting us yet again – always a cracking day. We’re already looking forward to coming back next year!

It’s that time again – our 2025 Isle of Wight Tour is here!

Saturday
We start the weekend with our regular fixture against Porchfield CC. This year, the three-way T20 tournament returns. Let’s hope the weather holds!

Sunday
We round off the tour at Ryde CC with our traditional Sunday match – always a highlight and a brilliant way to finish the weekend.

Match Result – Pyestock CC Win By 4 Wickets!

A proper day out in the sun — over 600 runs scored and a long shift in the field after bowling first.

We chased it down in style thanks to two cracking 💯s from Ben Bromley and Ben Armes, which helped us get over the line and seal the win! Top effort from everyone involved.

Back to old haunts this weekend.

It was another day of player milestones on Sunday, as Pyestock secured a comfortable victory over Vagabonds CC.

Firstly congratulations to Jake Baldwin, who celebrated his 100th Pyestock appearance by taking his 11th and 12th Stumping for the club. This writes Jakes name into the club record books, as (even though stumping haven't always been accurately recorded in the past) no one in the clubs history have more to their name. Jake now sits on top of many legendary names of the past.

The victory also saw Dan Ackehurst follow up his best batting performance last week by securing his best bowling figures of 3 for 23, whilst Lawson Bailey secured his first half century.

There was still time to see both Paul Bright and Pete Harris cling on to their 50th catches for the club.
