Billy committed to the plan & applied himself to build 4kg+ of lean muscle with me!

You've heard it before & you're gonna hear it again...
.. this was done through actively changing lifestyle habits & commiting to a sustainable training & nutrition plan that integrated around his life

We sat down together, discussed what Billy wanted to achieve which was gaining lean muscle

Then we considered how much time he was realistically going to be able to commit to his training around his work & life commitments

& from that, I then devised the strength training plan with enough volume to stimulate muscle growth πŸ’ͺ

Billy then turned up to every PT session & put in the shift to get what needed to be done, DONE πŸ”₯

& he went away in-between seeing me each week & completed the remaining training sessions of the plan

He wasn't alone though; he still had my full support & access to me through my app so I was with him all the way through his training annnnnd...
.. also helping him nail his nutrition by finding practical ways to get the food in that was required to support his muscle growth

All around his busy life!

The best part? These habits stuck so when things got tough, Billy didn't 'waiver!' πŸ‘Š

& the results speak for themselves!

& show what can be done when you take action & show willing to make the sustainable changes in your life to achieve a goal

Another awesome transformation here from team member Chris!

Chris joined with me looking to make some serious lifestyle changes so that he could enjoy more of what life has to offer & feel better in himself!

When we started, Chris was already taking action with his nutrition, changing up his habits alongside the quality of the foods he was consuming that facilitated his fat loss on this journey...
.. & then it was our job to incorporate effective strength training into that routine to help him increase his strength & functional movement to live a pain-free life of adventure!

& Chris smashed it! Again here, we didn't need a really strict training programme that had to be adhered to by the letter!

Instead, we focussed on progressive workouts keeping the frequency of PT sessions up so Chris could learn as much as possible about utilising the weight room to his advantage & encouraging enjoyment so that he would stick with it πŸ’ͺ

Now Chris is smashing the gym on his own utilising the things we worked on to live his best life! He's the most mobile, strong & resilient version of himself ever allowing him to fully enjoy all the new adventures that life out on the road brings! 🚐

First half marathon completed yesterday & i'm pretty chuffed with the result!

To finish my first half marathon averaging 6:00 mins/ km after my longest run in one go to the lead up of the event being a 5k is a pretty good achievement...
.. especially in the context here that I signed up for it coming off my first Hyrox doubles in December with the running part needing the most work!

That being said, I want to use my own experience with my training in the lead up to this event to highlight an important part of the goal-setting process...
.. so much so that I now make this a fundamental part of the final part of the process when deciding goals with clients...
.. & that is the goal must be realistic in the CONTEXT OF AVAILABLE TIME TO ACHIEVE THAT GOAL & HOW MUCH YOU'RE WILLING TO SACRIFICE FOR IT! 😁

& through my own experience, what I mean when I say this, is my initial goal that I decided on was a sub 2 hour half marathon....
..This is definitely a realistic goal however in the context of the situation in deciding this goal, I was limited on actual training time to accrue running volume & get that time down...
.. Couple this with the fact I lost a couple of the sunday long runs I planned to do in the lead-up to the event because I spent a little longer in the pub saturday night than intended, the 2 hour goal was no longer realistic here!

And you know what, I don't mind that! I had a great time catching up with friends playing Darts on those nights (even though i'm not very good!) 🎯

& I still attained a very prestigious achievement! πŸ’ͺ

The time will come when I push more when another hyrox gets closer πŸ‘€

Until then, balance is a beautiful thing!
