The best kind of Saturday in store tomorrow, as three ACC sides are at home 😍

On the main ground, our 1s welcome Peppard Stoke Row. Park Pitch 1 hosts the 3rd XI against Hurst Rangers, and on Park Pitch 2 it's our 5th XI against Sandhurst CC 🏏

On the road are our 2nd XI, who visit Newbury off the back of their great win last week, and our 4th XI who look to carry on their momentum away at Royal Ascot πŸš—

Successful weekend for The Shots with 4 wins from our 6 games in the Adult section πŸŽ‰

The 1s winning train rolls on thanks a thumping victory away at Sulhamstead. Alex Farr in the runs once again 😍

Taylor Newcombe hit a superb 82 in the Women's 1st XI defeat away at St Cross πŸ‘

The 2s got back in the win column with a comfortable win against Goring-On-Thames. Aman Singh and Ravi Sharma were on fire with the ball, as we dismissed the visitors for 120 πŸ”₯

Arul Pougajendy lit up the 3s innings away at Maidenhead with 82, but the hosts put together an incredible chase to take the win 🀝

Super Andy Summers went big with 80* off 53 balls as the 4s beat Finchampstead by 60 runs πŸ‘Š

Tough day for the 5s away at Royal Ascot, but Megan Irwin bowled superbly in the defence of a low total πŸ™Œ

Weekend Round-Up 🏏

An Alex Farr masterclass set up a massive victory for the 1s on Saturday against Purley-on-Thames! Farry hit 133 off 111 balls, including 21 fours and 2 sixes. 50s from Corne Botes and Rob Hislop lifted the 1s up to 332/6, before the bowling unit saw off the opposition for 169 πŸ’ͺ

No such luck for our Women's side on Sunday, who were beaten at home by Hursley Park 😒

Superb knocks from Ben Bromley and Jake Baldwin couldn't rescue the 2s from being under par against Shinfield. The visitors chased the total with plenty of overs to spare 😭

3 wickets and 30 runs for Arul Pougajendy in the 3s defeat away at Emmbrook & Bearwood. Batting first, we stuttered up to 167/9, which wasn't enough on the day, giving the hosts the win 🀝

A run-fest in the park as our 4s faced Bracknell! More runs for the brilliant Sathes, and 58 from Jarvey Lowman helped the 4s up to 266/6. We started well in reply, reducing Bracknell to 97-5, but a simply sensational 6th wicket partnership lifted them up towards 220, before their number 7 carried on the work and saw Bracknell home πŸ”₯

Another cracking game, this time our 5th XI away at Eversley. Bowling first, wickets were shared around between Andrew Shurlock (2-41), Eugene (2-22), Ethan (2-12), Harry (2-19) and 1 each for Tristan and Abik. Chasing 191 to win, Ross Aver hit a run-a-ball 52, Stanley hit a solid 24, and Andrew Shurlock chipped in with 22. The game was even and coming down to the last over, and then to the final ball. 4 needed to win, Ethan Swinden on strike, and bang! Crunched the last ball of the game away to the boundary to secure the win! πŸŽ‰

Ahead of this weekend's action, let's catch up on what happened last weekend 🏏

On Sunday, it was a fantastic win for the Aldershot Women’s team away at Yateley! Even with temperatures hitting 30, some impressive fielding saw Yateley kept to 173 and an amazing partnership between Ella Chandler and Jo Harfield-Brown secure a sizzling win! πŸŽ‰

On Saturday, the 1s cleaned up Thatcham for 145. Alex Farr and the returning Corne Botes kept the boat steady during the run chase, and we we're favourites throughout until a slight wobble towards the end. It was left to captain, Jamie Grover to steer us over the line πŸŽ‰

The 2s managed to sn**ch defeat from the jaws of victory, after a clinical performance with the ball and in the field, was let down by a poor batting performance. The 3s struggled away in the Harpsden furnace. Skipper Paul Bright batted through the innings, trying to lift his time but it wasn't to be.

Ollie Lewis turned into prime Neil Mumby, scoring 53 and taking 2-fer with some lovely flighty off-spin! Ollie's knock, along with an excellent 76 from Sathes secured a 19 run win for the 4s πŸ”₯

A valiant effort from our 5th XI away against a very good Crowthorne side. The hosts come away with the victory, but some more excellent performances by some up and coming ACC Youth! πŸ‘

Bring on this weekend πŸŽ‰
