11 goal thriller to close the season 😱

We took the lead in the first 5 through a lovely finish from Jason, before Meadow scored a beautiful equaliser into the top corner. We then went back ahead 2-1 with another goal from Jase and then whilst trying to find a third, we thought we should have had a penalty but the ref disagreed and Meadow Sports went straight down the other end to make it clear 2-2.

We then conceded 2 more long range efforts to make it 4-2 before Sam pulled one back before HT to make it 4-3.

We then started the second half quickly and 2 goals from Harrison put us back ahead at 5-4.
We defended the best we could but a mistake at the back allowed Meadow an easy equaliser.

The boys battled as hard as they could to get something from the game but a bizarre call from the ref to award a penalty, after playing 30 seconds worth of advantage and Meadow hitting the bar twice in the sequence was enough for Meadow Sports to get the winner in the last few.

Not the season we wanted, but a great performance all round to end the season - Shame about the scoreline.

⚽️ MATCHDAY ⚽️

Tomorrow sees us bring the curtain down on our season in our last game against Meadow Sports.

Although this season hasn’t allowed us to achieve what we wanted and what we are capable of, we will be aiming to end the season on a positive note!!!

⚽️ MATCHDAY ⚽️

Tomorrow sees us face Weybourne in the league in what is our final away game of the season.

After a win last week and not being able to enjoy that result for too long, due to the double header, the boys will be hoping for some more points this weekend and actually able to enjoy them for longer that 10minutes!!

Win for Wellesley this weekend!!!

In the first of our 2 games against Lightwater Pumas, the boys picked up a long awaited and well deserved win.
After some very encouraging performances since the winter break, we finally got the result we deserved.
2 goals from our top scorer .atamba put us in the driving seat, before Lightwater pulled one back and made it a bit nervy but our midfield maestro was on hand with a cool finish to make it 3-1 and put the icing on the cake.

Unfortunately game 2 wasn’t to be, but with injuries and tiredness catching up with the boys, especially with a few of them also feeling very under the weather, we couldn’t make it 2 wins on the day.

Lightwater went 1-0 up half way through the first half before .hopkins made it level but we just ran out of legs towards the end and Lightwater capitalised with a penalty and a counter attack to make it 3-1 to them.

2 games to go this season now and the boys will be hoping to continue the run of good performances with hopefully the results to match.

After a weekend off last week, this Sunday sees us having a double header against Lightwater Pumas
