What a Whirlwind few weeks it has been for George...

Probably the happiest little guy you will meet in the pits, always smiling and always everyone's freind. Which ultimately is all we want, a happy and smily little boy enjoying his racing.

Anyone who has been watching George while we have been at it like me will have seen that he has improved so so much and back on April 9th he scored his FASTEST ever lap and consistent laps under 20 seconds something we have been working so hard to achieve...

However since then it has been a tough old time...

A Slower outing at Aldershot followed by a Hednesford debut which resulted in rare tears and then last night at Lochgelly which was the slowest in a long time... Don't get me wrong George is happy and George loves his racing, and last night at Lochgelly he was really happy.

However there is a mental block currently which we are going to help him with, to help him get back to his best.

George knows he can be quick, he knows he can win trophies and he also knows he can get top 3's so sometimes a bad day at the office does cause some frustration as he knows he can do it.

Lots of work has been done on the kart and we know it's there or there abouts but that said I will also get better. I believe in this kid more than anything and we I will be having a heart to heart with him in the week, and then I will be going over the kart again... I'm sure soon he will fully believe in himself again as his progress has been incredible 💪

Next week we have a double header back to Aldershot on Sunday and then over to Ipswich on Monday which will have the biggest number of family members ever to watch him. I'm also going to get him some practice and more seat time on Saturday too.

You absolutely have this little man, your journey has been incredible and I will be there to help you every step of the way.

!!EXCITING SPONSORSHIP NEWS!!

Great news to end a Week....Really excited to announce that BT Motorsport is going on the 2023 Kart... That's right, 2023 British Touring Car Driver, Bobby Thompson is going on the Kart.

Not only that but he will also be making some personal appearances to give the Little man some top tips and guidance, as well as watching some of his progress. Having Bobby in around the pits for a meeting or two will be fantastic for the kids who race up and down the country every week in what is a fantastic formula.

George is only 8 and has just completed his first full year in the Ninja Karts and this year will also be racing at a bunch of new tracks.

Having such a well known name in British Motorsport on the Kart will be invaluable and a massive confidence boost for George going into 2023.

We are incredibly proud of this and thank Bobby for the interest he has shown in George's racing throughout last season too.

Should you want to see your business on this Kart along with this big name, please do let me know....any support is gratefully received and will go towards my Amazing little guy as his racing adventures continue.

As for this weekend, we are off to Swaffham tomorrow to blow off some cobwebs before we start getting ready for the little man's first meeting on the 26th of Feb!!

BUSY DAY AT ALDERSHOT

Tough day at the office - But still we Smile 😊 that boy is damn resilient.... No luck at all today but still came away full of Smiles.

Race 1 - whites heat 1

George had a sluggish start and then got caught up in a bunch of slow moving traffic. The race went on and the race started to get away from George. He finally got past the traffic overtaking two karts at the same time round the outside. However with only a lap to go there wasn't much time for a chase, but he still brought it home for what we think was an 8th place finish and in the points.

▪️ So we had a pep talk after this race and discussed the importance of a quick start, we then got ready for heat 2 with confidence.

Race 2 - whites heat 2

This Time a much better start..... Until the first corner 🤦 George got caught up with a bunch of karts and ended up nearly hitting a perimeter tyre.... However, George managed to pull it together and get back into the race, unfortunately though, the incident on that first corner and buggered his steering and he could not drive straight at all... George however is such a trooper and was determined to finish the race. It was tough going all the way round but he brought it home for an 11th place!! Great result considering, and you simply can't keep this boy down, as he will just keep going and going 👍👍

▪️Pre Final Burger was cancelled, we needed to fix the kart and we did ✅

Race 3 - whites final

Well what can I say... This boy went out on a mission... The start was brilliant, one of his best ever starts and he was flying, absolutely flying... He was gaining on the leading Karts and it looked like an easy top 3 finish in the final.... And then it all went wrong 🙈 Another kart span into George's direction of travel and he spun out... He once again managed to get going, he lost quite a few places though and had to start once again chipping away and overtaking from scratch.... Raced so so well in this one and deserved so much more.... However he brought it home for 8th again we think but we shall wait to see the classified results.

All in all a day of dreadful bad luck but great racing in places, some quick laps, a couple of points and mainly... Huge resilience and pride!!

So so proud of George today, Came home with bruises, a sore leg and a banged up Kart... But mostly smiles ☺️☺️
