Safe to say we left it all on the court today! 🥵🎾

The Army Tennis Men’s Squad headed to St George’s Hill for a 5th time.

The Fast4 doubles showdown couldn’t get much closer than this: St George’s took the day 5-4 overall, with a crazy 5 matches pushed to a deciding 3rd set tiebreak.

A massive shoutout to our hosts for the brilliant hospitality and a fantastic day out. Brilliant tennis, great company, and a proper fight till the last point! 👏🎾

British Army Tennis | Development Inter-Services 🎾

A great couple of days with a really high standard of tennis throughout — one of the best Devs competitions we’ve seen.

Plenty of strong performances across both squads. Some tight matches that could have gone either way, with a few three-setters and close 7–6 sets just not falling in our favour this time.

Men’s Results
RAF 6 | Army 3 (2nd on countback) | Navy 3

Women’s Results
RAF 6 | Army 5 | RN 1

Solid effort across the board — plenty to build on and will be be back stronger next year!

First-ever Army Pickleball event 🏓🔥

The HW SQ Regional Festival of Sport took place at Perham Down this week, featuring the Army’s inaugural pickleball competition as part of a wider multi-sport programme.

Led by SSgt Colin McCabe RAPTC, the Army’s OIC for Pickleball, the event saw 20 teams compete – with the majority of players picking up a paddle for the very first time.

Army Pickleball coach Ian Haigs, alongside Wiltshire county representative and coach Dan O’Brien delivered an introductory session to get everyone match-ready before an intense round robin competition kicked off.

🏆 Results:
🥇 1 Signal Regiment
🥈 HQ 3 Div (Bulford Medical Centre)
🥉 1 Signal Regiment

Dan O’Brien presented the prizes to the winning teams after a fantastic day of competition.

More pickleball opportunities will be available throughout the Regional Command Festival of Sport – this is just the beginning 👊

Army Women’s Masters putting in the work 💪🎾

A brilliant session today at Aldershot Tennis Centre with specialist women’s doubles coach Sophie Cockell. Over three hours, the team sharpened cross-court depth, net interceptions, and that all-important right court set-piece lob 👌

Focused coaching like this keeps our pairs match-ready for a packed season of fixtures and tournaments ahead.

A fantastic away day for the Army Women’s Master’s Tennis Team at Milford-On-Sea! 🎾

Competitive on the court, but nothing but smiles off it. A massive thank you to ex-RAMC officer Aynsley Clinton for being the host with the most—brilliantly organised and military-grade hospitality! 🎖️✨

Much fun was had by all. Until next time, Milford!

🎾 Battling Hard at the Championships

The British Army Tennis Team has had an incredible experience competing in this year’s Wodonga Tennis Championships! It was a week defined by grit, determination, and some seriously tough matches for the entire squad.

A truly special highlight of the tournament was seeing a member of the and the British Army pairing up for doubles for the very first time in a tournament—a fantastic symbol of the close bond and camaraderie between our two forces. 🇬🇧🇦🇺

We want to extend a massive thank you to the organizers at Wodonga for their help in facilitating our entries and making our participation possible.

The team had the honour of meeting the legendary Margaret Court who was present at the tournament.

We also owe a huge debt of gratitude to the Australian Defence Force (ADF) for their exceptional hospitality throughout the week; you truly made us feel at home.

Every member of the team fought hard on the court, with some standout results to celebrate:
• 🏆 Capt McCaul took home the Tier 4 Singles Title after a clinical performance!
• 👏 Lt Killips & Cpl Straker put in a fantastic shift to reach the Semi-Finals of the Tier 2 Doubles.

Proud of the whole team for the spirit and sportsmanship shown throughout the competition.

🎾 What an incredible battle on the courts! The British Army Tennis Team faced off against .sportsclub in a fixture that truly went down to the wire, with the Army narrowly taking the win 8 matches to 7.

A massive thank you to everyone at Black Rock Sports Club for hosting us so warmly. The level of play was outstanding, and it was a pleasure to compete in such a friendly and welcoming environment.

We also want to extend our sincere gratitude to the (Returned and Services League of Australia) and for their amazing support and hospitality. The BBQ and food they provided were the perfect way to wrap up a great afternoon of sport—nothing beats a post-match BBQ and good company! 🍔🤝
