⚫⚪ MATCH REPORT – U15s Girls ⚫⚪
Albrighton FC 1 – 2 Burntwood Flames ⚽
A huge effort from our U15s girls today, just falling short in a close game against Burntwood 💪
With many of the squad playing their third game of the week, and even a couple of players completing a 50km hike, it’s no surprise there were some tired legs — but the commitment and fitness shown by the team was outstanding 👏
We were particularly strong in the second half, creating plenty of chances and putting Burntwood under real pressure, but just couldn’t quite find that equaliser. The football played throughout was excellent, with great movement and control, and countless corners that on another day could have made the difference!
Goal from:
⚽ Amy – her 20th goal of the season, a fantastic achievement! 👏
A big thank you to our volunteer goalkeepers Evie and Izzy, who both stepped in and did a great job when called upon — a real credit to the team spirit within the squad 👏
Player of the match: Amy – led the line brilliantly, worked tirelessly, held the ball up well and was unlucky not to add to her tally 👏
Opposition voted player of the match: Emilia – recognised for her versatility across two positions and the excellent quality of her deliveries into the box 👍
A strong performance with plenty of positives to take.
Next up: a well-earned break before we return on 23rd May at home to Hawkins. See you all at training on Thursdays 👍⚽⚪⚫⚪⚫
