Update…
What a season so far.… Sitting 3rd in the league according to the table 🤯🤯🤯 goal difference doesn’t count and head to head favours us.. Anyway joint 3rd with two games in hand to secure 2nd as a minimum. Anyone one in attendance on Thursday will know there was an air of frustration from the side, not because of the performance it was dominant from start to finish and the but the scoreline didnt reflect the game considering our opponents who deserve massive praise for fielding a team with their GK playing up top, it was more of a laugh and a joke with pals, we set standards from the rise from D to no doubt A and the boys knew this fell way short of what is expected
With Shotts needing to beat Mids to take us to a play off, we will be cheering from afar, we won’t talk about the decision down at the Mids which still has us reeling. Right the pleasing part, Bathgate from A division asked for a friendly and as the Gartcairn way we fully accept the game with open arms regardless of the out come. With a few home truths before the game kicked off, boy the the lads show up, First half was more like us finding ourselves with a 3-0 lead, lots of changes and the boys went out and continued where we left off in the second half. Massive respect to Bathgate who knocked the ball about very well and never stopped working hard, game ending 4-1 in favour to the boys. Given the reaction and the level of performance of all the boys I am confident of at least a 2nd place finish and if a play off is on the horizon 🤞we would ensure that that level shown yesterday was executed and no doubt avenge the defeat against Mids with football and not refereeing decisions determine the outcome. With a final on the horizon the boys are more than ready given the form over the last 3 months confidence is high as we look forward to potentially lifting silverware for the 3rd season running…
