Hi guys, your January trial month is over..

I want you to take a moment today to look back over the past month..

If you started the year with a new fitness plan and have stuck with it and have surpassed your expectations of where you would be at the start of February - I hope are proud of yourself for the work you’ve put in to creating healthier habits and making moves towards your end goal and I hope you keep smashing it.

If you started the year with a new fitness plan and you haven’t found yourself starting February quite where you wanted to be - well then this one is for you.

So maybe January didn’t go QUITE to plan, maybe you were a little more frivolous with your nutrition than you perhaps should have been or a little inconsistent with your training.

Well that’s okay.

Because we don’t live in a world where life is perfect and we are always on the ball excelling just because we wish it so.

I’ve not had a perfect start to the year either - so I get it.

But guess what, this can be a fresh start!

We get to look back at the past 4 weeks and see what worked for us and what didn’t.
We keep what worked and we find new ways to work around the obstacles that got in our way.

This is why it is so important to check in with yourself (and your coach if you have one) on a regular basis to adjust your programs to fit you, your goals and YOUR LIFE.

So take some time today and have a look at where you can make small changes to what you have (or haven’t) been doing to align with your goals and values.

January 1st could be day 1 or day 49.

You could give yourself over a months head start on the January madness where people set wildly unrealistic goals and expect some magical January magic to give them some super special powers that make them stick to 6 day training programs and going nil by mouth in a bid to be a whole new person by the end of the month.

You could spend the next month and a half developing some awareness of your nutrition and activity levels - that you can realistically stick to and maintain so that you get results that don’t unravel the minute you go back to normal life after you stop being skint when your January paycheck hits your bank account and your back out every other weekend and having takeaway twice a week.

The first month or two of ANYONES journey is about laying foundations, good solid foundations.

Imagine where you could be in June if you don’t spend the first two months of the new year having to play around with a new routine to find what works best because you did it two months earlier and you know exactly how much time you can dedicate to:

• being in the gym
• the best time to go for you or worked out the quietest time
• already found some banging recipes you enjoy that fill you and support your goals
