⏰ This time two weeks today...

You'll probably be doing one of three things:

🏃‍♂️ Telling anyone who'll listen how well you ran, casually dropping "when I did the Scarecrow 10k..." into completely unrelated conversations, and boring your family with an unnecessarily detailed breakdown of every hill, your pace through each section, your category position, and exactly where you overtook that bloke in the blue vest.

😭 Being Neil. Weeping gently into a cup of tea, scrolling through everyone else's race photos and whispering "I wish I'd entered that..." every few minutes.

🍺 If you're one of our fantastic volunteer marshals, you'll hopefully be enjoying a well-earned beer while wondering how 200+ runners managed to leave behind so many safety pins. As for me, I'll be doing exactly the same whilst trying not to think about next year's race already.

The Blackrod Scarecrow 10k takes place on Sunday 28th June and there's still time to join us.

In two weeks' time you'll either be feeling triumphant because you took part... or you'll be Neil.

☕🏃 Just 3 over weeks to go until the Blackrod Scarecrow 10k! Sunday 28th June 2026.

We're delighted that Charlie The Mobile Coffee Van will once again be joining us on race day, serving much-needed teas, coffees and refreshments before and after the race. Find out more about the charity here:

Even better, Charlie operates on a not-for-profit basis, with all proceeds going to BackUp – a fantastic charity helping to prevent youth homelessness by providing emergency housing, temporary accommodation and tailored life-skills support for young people aged 16–25.

In just 4 weeks' time, over 200 runners will be lining up on the start line of the Blackrod Scarecrow 10k, ready to tackle our fantastic multi-terrain route through the village, countryside, canal towpaths and trails. 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️
