🎾 Lights out on weekday afternoon tennis… until April 2027!

With dusk arriving at 5:38pm today, we’ve reached the end of our weekday afternoon tennis sessions for 2026. These sessions will return in April 2027 - meanwhile, our weekend groups and daytime adult sessions will keep everyone playing through winter! 💚

It’s frustrating to pause these sessions until April when there’s so much enthusiasm to keep playing, learning and improving. Tennis helps our community stay active, build confidence and make friendships - benefits we want to keep offering throughout winter. 💚

Our weekend and daytime tennis will continue, but floodlights would make a huge difference for children after school and adults after work.

💡 Baseline Edge has built real momentum at Victory Park, and floodlights would help us build on that success — giving more people the opportunity to enjoy tennis all year round. 🎾

Would you use floodlit courts at Victory Park? Let us know below! 👇

🎾🎂 Baseline Edge turns ONE!

A year ago, I started Baseline Edge at Victory Park, Addlestone, and I’m so proud to be celebrating our first birthday!

Thank you to every player, parent and supporter who has been part of this first year. Whether you’ve joined a group, had a private lesson, attended a holiday camp or recommended us to a friend - your support means so much. 💚

It’s been a pleasure seeing players build confidence, develop their skills and enjoy their time on court.

Here’s to another year of tennis, progress and friendships!

👇 What’s been your favourite moment on court with us? I’d love to hear!

🎾 How does the new 7-week junior tennis term work?

A quick explanation for parents booking our 5:30pm weekday sessions this September.

The term runs for 7 weeks, but as the evenings become darker and the park closes earlier in October, we’re changing the session day for the final 3 weeks.

📅 First 4 weeks: Your child attends their usual weekday session at 5:30–6:30pm.

☀️ Final 3 weeks: The session moves to the weekend, with parents able to choose either Saturday or Sunday when booking.

So it’s simple:

4 weeks on a weekday at 5:30pm + 3 weekend sessions on your chosen day = a full 7-week term. 🎾

This allows us to continue the programme into October while making the most of the available daylight.

If you’re booking, please remember to select your preferred Saturday or Sunday for the final 3 sessions.

We look forward to seeing everyone back on court in September! 🎾
