FIRST TEAM – MICK HALL

A tough day in the middle of the park, but Mick Hall showed his class on the ball throughout and capped his performance with a fantastic left-footed finish.

RESERVES – CREGAN HARTLEY

Back in the side after some time away, Cregan came off the bench and showed his quality on a frustrating day for the Reserves. A positive return and a reminder of what he can bring to the team.

SUNDAYS – HARRISON BROWN

Another MOTM performance from Harrison. Calm, commanding and continuing to show just what a fantastic goalkeeper he is becoming. Another big performance between the sticks

INTO THE HAT! 🏆

A proper topsy-turvy cup game sees us progress into the next round of the LFA Cup.

We went 1-0 down before goals from Mark Haworth and Ben Leather turned it around and put us 2-1 ahead.

Midgley levelled to make it 2-2, but we regained the lead through Ben Leather’s second of the game before Ollie Dugdale added a brace to put us 5-3 up.

A late rally from Midgley saw them pull another one back, but we held on to secure the win and book our place in the next round!

Our first home game of the season is this weekend, so we’ll look to put it right and get back to the standards we know we’re capable of.

In a game that at times felt more like a basketball match, we should have been 2-0 up inside the opening 10 minutes.

We then conceded three avoidable goals, which meant we were always fighting an uphill battle.

The positives were the chances we continued to create throughout the game and the quality of football we played at times. There’s plenty to build on going forward, but we need to tighten up defensively and cut out the mistakes

After a lot of hard work upgrading and improving our pitch, it’s finally ready for our first home game of the season tomorrow as we welcome Rimington Football Club to Peel Park.

A massive thank you to Master ground services and everyone who has put the hours in behind the scenes to get the pitch looking and playing the way it does.

The work doesn’t go unnoticed, and we can’t wait to finally get back home.

Peel Park is ready. Let’s make it a day to remember.

After a frustrating result against Rimington Reserves last time out, our Reserves hit the road this weekend as they travel to Burnley United.

With new signings coming in and players returning to the squad, there’s plenty of positivity around the group as we look to get the season back on track.

Time to regroup, put things right and go after those 3 points!

This Saturday, we’re back at Peel Park for our first home game of the season as we welcome our old friends Rimington!

After a great away win against local rivals Enfield, we’ll be looking to carry that momentum into our first home fixture and push on for another vital 3 points.
