Spiro went on a brilliant adventure with Willow back in July to the Squirrels/Beaver camp. Sensei forgot all about posting the photos, so sorry they're so late! We love seeing everyone's pictures of their adventures with the class Dragon's, so if you take one home don't forget to send in your photos! Sensei will remember to post them earlier next time!! 🥋🐲

Congratulations to our fabulous Willow who graded up to full red tab today! Super effort!! Don't worry, everyone else is scheduled to grade in 2 weeks time, when Willow won't be at class.
We packed a lot in today, fabulous breakfalls, reflex games, pirate ship, stances and the ball game. I am away next week, so be good for Sensei Aaliyah everyone!.

Great class this afternoon Dragon's!! We did some surprise attack blocking work, breakfalls with a run up, and worked hard on our syllabus.

We also spent some time talking about practising. I've recently found that some of our Dragon's can get upset or frustrated if they don't excel on their first try of a technique. You can't learn or grow if you don't make mistakes and its important that they each understand that perseverance and getting things wrong are the building blocks of becoming a great Martial Artist. We nuture confidence and develop listening/observational skills at Little Dragon's, as well as setting achievable goals to learn the basics of Jujitsu. Alex and I are there with positive support every step of the way. We don't care if its not perfect, we just care that they all try and not one of these fabulous little people ever let us down on that score!

Lovely to see more happy little faces on the mat tonight. We welcomed Albie to try out and went through everyone's next grade. We worked on our kicks, chatted about bones in our body and played some high energy games. I for one am looking forward to bed time!! See you all next week. Sensei Southworth 🥋 🐲

Great work tonight everyone. We practised different scenarios with blocks and kicks to make sure that everyone was executing the correct technique, no matter the situation. Its amazing how guards drop, balance fails and learned kicks change when you apply them in a different way!! Congratulations to Xavier and Raven for being chosen to take home the Dragon's. See you all next week 🥋🐲

A very sweaty class tonight! We introduced two basic throws to our Dragon's today, working on positioning, balance and boosting confidence in contact work. Everyone did their best with some very tricky techniques. Well done everyone, see you all next week 🥋🐲

It was great to be back on the mat with our fabulous Dragon's tonight. We had a pretty relaxed class of fun and games to welcome everyone back. As lots of our older class members have moved up to junior's, we have space for new Little Dragon's. If any of your friends or family members aged 4-6 would like to join in and try out with us, they're more than welcome! Back to hard work and syllabus next week 💪 🥋🐲

A fantastic grading day today! Well done everyone 👏 Special mentions for Alfie who nailed his rolling breakfall after weeks of practice 🎊 and to Willow who earned her first tab tonight (thanks Sensei Aaliyah for letting Friday Dragon's grade her!).
We love our little team, they work hard together and are building great friendships. We hope you enjoy your two week break. See you back on the mat on Friday 7th August 🥋🐲
