🏆 **Remembrance Trophy Results** 🏆

The second competition of our double-header weekend saw members competing for the Remembrance Trophy, with another excellent day of scoring on the course.

🥇 **Winner** – Mick Shaw with a superb **Net 69**

🥈 **Second Place** – Gary Davis (Net 71) after ACPO

🥉 **Third Place** – Mark Aldred (Net 71)

It was a case of déjà vu for **Gary Davis and Mark Aldred**, who once again finished in the frame after also featuring prominently in Saturday's Harold Bailey Trophy.

👏 The **Gross Prize**, kindly sponsored by **JC Cleaning Services**, was won by **Gary Davis**.

🍺 Our popular **4th and 40th Beer Tokens**, courtesy of our Bar & Catering Team, went to:

Some excellent scoring was on display in the Harold Bailey Trophy at Baxenden Golf Club.

🥇 **Winner** – Gary Davis (Net 67) after ACPO
🥈 **Runner-Up** – Mark Aldred (Net 67)
🥉 **Third Place** – Anthony Wood (Net 69)

32 golfers from Baxenden descended on Telford Golf & Spa for our annual 4-day golfing adventure.

As always, there was plenty of golf played, plenty of laughs shared, and enough banter to keep the clubhouse entertained until next year's trip!

There were far too many winners to mention individually (mainly because some of them haven't stopped reminding us already), but there is one award that simply cannot go unannounced...

After numerous nominations, extensive discussions lasting almost 10 seconds, and a judging panel of highly questionable integrity, the unanimous winner was...

🥁 **PAUL ROBINSON!** 🥁

Why did he win? Well, if you were there, you know why. If you weren't there, we're afraid what happens on tour stays on tour...although to be fair in didnt!!

A huge thank you to all the organisers who once again made the trip run like a well-oiled machine. These events don't happen by accident, and your hard work is greatly appreciated by everyone.

Roll on next year – the golf will be forgotten, the scores will be disputed, but the stories will only get better!

🏆 **Baxenden Golf Club Summer League Update!** 🏆

After 5 rounds of competitive golf, the Summer League leaderboard is starting to take shape, but with at least **5 weeks still to play**, there's everything to play for!

🔥 Current Top 4 🔥

🥇 Shane Thornton – 95 points
🥈 Chris Mabbutt – 90 points
🥉 Simon Parker – 75 points
4️⃣ Chris Nolan – 73 points

A fantastic effort from all our players so far, but with plenty of points still available, no one can afford to get comfortable just yet!

⛳ **Round 6 takes place this Friday, 19th June** and could prove to be a crucial night in the race for the title.

Can Shane extend his lead? Will Chris close the gap? Can Simon and Chris mount a charge? Or will someone further down the leaderboard make a big move?
