Members Specimen Lake Rules

General Rules

* All rubbish goes home with you.
* No standing with fish for photos. All fish must be photographed safely while supported appropriately.
* All fires must be off the floor.
* No float fishing for live baits on the Members Lake. Go to the Day Lake for this.
* No zig fishing.
* No surface fishing.
* No free-lining without a lead, including spam or any other baits.
* Minimum 20 lb mono.
* Minimum 60 lb braid — 80 lb is recommended all braid must have 1 meter of tubing
* Barbless hooks only. No barbed or micro-barbed hooks.
* No fixed rigs or leads or leaders. All rigs must be safe and capable of falling apart if the line is snapped. We do not want fish left trailing lines, leads or leaders.

Equipment Requirements

Rods

* Strong rods with a minimum test curve of 3.5 TC.

If your targeting catfish we recommend catfishing rods and reels

Reels

* Strong reels, 8000–14000 size.

Landing Nets

* The bigger, the better.
* Nets must be capable of landing fish quickly and safely.
* 50-inch minimum.

Cradles

* Cradles are good provided they are large enough to safely accommodate our fish without bending or restricting them.

Unhooking Mats

* Mats must be padded and large enough to fully support the entire fish.

Enforcement

Failure to follow these rules will result in you being asked to leave and your membership being revoked. No exceptions.

If you are unsure about anything, message the page and ask. Do not presume.

I don’t work every day, morning till night, and travel the full country to source fish for people to then abuse them or fish for them in an unsafe manner simply because another lake allows it and you can’t be arsed finding and reading the rules so here they are pinned you will receive a copy when you sign up for membership.

These rules are in place for the welfare of our fish. Please follow them.
