The afternoon ties in the over 55s Middleton trophy were played in glorious sunshine. Results Drumoak (Peter Jaffray) 21 Upper Donside (Bob Pate) 9,
Aboyne (Colin Smith) 21 Ballater (Andy Hutcheon) 5, Banchory (Bette Tennant) 21 Torphins (Syd Freeman) 16, Braemar wo Alford scr. The semi finals are on Friday 2pm.
The mens quarter finals and ladies semi finals were less fortunate with the weather with some heavy showers on and off all night.

Next week Aboyne Bowling club will be hosts for this years Dee Don champions of champions competitions.
Play starts on Monday 7pm with 2 first round ties in the mens singles, Aboyne v Torphins and Kincardine o Neil v Millbank, and 3 ladies singles quarter final ties, Ballater v Millbank, Upper Donside v Alford and Aboyne v Torphins, plus the 1 first round tie in the over 55s singles Millbank v Upper Donside..
On Tuesday night there are 2 mens pairs first round ties Ballater v Millbank and Braemar v Torphins and 3 ladies quarter finals Banchory v Millbank, Upper Donside v Torphins and Dumoak v Alford.
Wednesday afternoon is the quarter finals of the over 55 singles, Millbank or Upper Donside v Drumoak,Aboyne v Ballater,Torphins v Banchory and Braemar v Alford.
Wednesday night has the mens singles quarter finals and the ladies singles semi finals.Thursday has the mens pairs quarter finals plus the ladies pairs semi finals. Friday afternoon sees the semi finals of the over 55s singles and Friday night the mens singles and pairs semi finals. All finals will be on Sunday 9th at 2pm.
Spectators welcome to come along.

The final league table of the season,well done to all who played their part in both mens and womens leagues.

The final league matches of the season ended with a 16-10 win for the ladies team of Marie,Jackie and Kay against Drumoak Durris & Crathes bowling club to finish in 3rd place in their first season back.
At Millbank the points were shared in the mens match, Vic,Powie and Rob won 15-10, but Willie, Jockie and Ed went down 18-6.

A good evening all round in the league tonight, The ladies team of Donna,Jackie and Kay travelled to Upper Donside and ran out 14-11 winners a first defeat of the season for the home team.
In the mens home match with Upper Donside, Willie, Jockie and Ed had a convincing 15-6 win, while Powie , Keith and Rob shared the spoils in a 15-15 draw. Both men and ladies teams sit 3rd in their leagues with 1 game to play.
