Dojang X is the fresh and creative martial arts school in town! We teach Soo Bahk Do (Korean Karate) classes in Abingdon and Sutton Courtenay.

We also have fun with content ideas to develop other skills - channeling our interests from video games, cartoons and anime, and films whilst getting active!

What's your child's potential at our Little Ninjas Club? 🤔

We're more than just kicks, punches and games.

Our Little Ninjas Club offers a structured programme for 3-6 year olds where they learn:

✅️ The foundations of Soo Bahk Do (Korean Karate) - including basic Korean language!
✅️ Develop confidence, co-ordination and focus
✅️ Learn teamwork, patience and self-discipline through our traditional style

🥷 And when they're ready, they move up and take on the black belt journey!

*Here's a few things our Little Ninja graduates have done since their time with us*:

🏅Won medals at our annual Summer Hyung Competitions
🙌 Displayed leadership by participating in public demonstrations to showcase our martial art
💯 Being excellent role models to younger members
🥋 Continued to progress up the main belt system (some now are halfway to black belt!)

We're DBS checked, Safeguarded approved by Sport England, and have over 15 years experience in our martial art.

We're back at training this week and hope everyone had a great summer break! 🥋

Our 2026 Summer Hyung Competition results are in, and here are our medalists! 🤩

*1st Place : Elliot* 🥇

This Black Belt Little Ninja graduate starting the 'bigger' class this month did something truly exceptional : he wanted to challenge himself for this competiton and learnt Ki Cho Hyung Il Bu (Basic Form 1) over the holidays and performed it very well! He'll be turning 6 soon, and it's amazing to see his dedication to the martial arts.

*2nd Place : Chris* 🏅

Performed Chil Sung Sam Ro very well - tidying up the areas that our instructor has been nagging at him to correct for some time 😉
It's a very difficult hyung to perform and we've seen a marked improvement.

*3rd Place: Oscar and Jasper* 🏅

We've awarded two candidates joint 3rd place this year as it was really hard to choose between them! Both boys are of similar age, performed the same hyung (Pyung Ahn Sam Dan), and to a good standard that showed improvement in their training.

Mr Hugh was very touched to receive this thoughtful card from Lara, one of our Little Ninjas 🥹🥋

It's moments like these that remind us what our club is all about – confidence, kindness, and the amazing young people we get to teach.

This is our final week of classes before the summer break 🌞. We hope all our members and families have a fantastic holiday!

We're also excited that in September, our Head Instructor, Sabrina, will be returning from maternity leave. She's looking forward to seeing how you've all progressed in your training over the past few months 😊.

We had an action-packed week with gradings for our Little Ninjas Club and also the Main Pathway!

Great to see everyone's hard work and focus 🎯

We've got to give a special shout out to Fred and Elliot 😁

They've been training at our Little Ninjas Club since we launched the programme a few years ago.

This week, the boys successfully demonstrated their syllabus and were awarded their Little Ninjas Black Belt - making them the very first in our Club! 🥷

Please join us in congratulating them and all our members who've put in the work over the past few months since our main instructor, Sabrina, has been off on maternity leave.

Also, a special shout out to Hugh for volunteering his time to cover classes so that the Dojang stayed open for training! 🙏

It's a proud moment for us : three of our original students have trained consistently week after week since our Club's founding days 💪

They lead by example, take their training seriously, and support other members in their growth and development.

Motivation is what gets many started.

Discipline and consistency is what gets you to your goal 💯

𝐈𝐭'𝐬 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤! ⛄️

Our successful grading candidates were awarded their rank promotions and we had fun with board breaking! 🔥

Also congratulations to the following students who were given our 2025 awards:

🏆 Student of the Year: Chansroop

Who has shown amazing dedication to our Club and martial art over the years. It's really hard to communicate the level of impact and respect this young man has in a short text like this. As one of the first DX students ever, he's assisted gradings from a very early stage and young age, and is always happy to help others at class. He also demonstrates strong work ethic, focus, and kindness.

🥋 Most Improved Student: Aadam

This young man has been on a great transformative journey this year. He stepped up to become one of DX's Youth Leaders, showing great courage and increasing confidence to lead others in warm ups. He puts his focus into training and has turned up to train at our other locations and participate in seminars.

🎖 Leadership Award: Simon

Another one of our Youth Leaders, Simon has incredible attention to detail in everything he does. In particular, he's been consistently attending Little Ninjas to offer his support and demonstrate role model behaviour, in addition to attending his own classes. It's clear that the younger kids respect him a lot!

As Instructor, I'm very grateful for the wonderful community that we have at Dojang X. I'd like to thank all our students for their good training ethic this year - and to the DX parents and family members for supporting our students and Club.
