Our youth coaches (+ a couple U19 ringers) put on the flag belts , (and some drip) and played flag football against the Saints Youth flag teams.

Game 1 was a good battle Vs the U11 / Younger U14 team. The coaches had the height advantage in the pass game but the young players used their small stature in the run game to avoid being tackled.

It was a close game but In the end it was a win for the coaches. But it was not easy.

Next came the older U14/ U17 team littered with GB Flag youth players.

The youth team came out firing and after an hour they were 5-2 up in TDs.

The coaches and players wanted to continue despite the rain. The coaches team the. brought out some trick plays on Offense which inspired a monumental comeback.

After a gruelling second half it was all square: 6 TDs each after two hours of flag . But who wanted it more?

There was with one more drive left for the coaches before the clock expired. It all came down to this drive.

The coaches team moved the ball with vigor and then found themselves at 4th and goal from the 15. it all came down to this last play. Score and the coaches hold bragging rights for the year.

Finn, the Saints youth veteran in at Qb for the coaches was scanning the field while getting away from the blitz. He launched the ball up high to the back of the Endzone where he found none other than former NFL receiver and SuperBowl winner, coach Scott who out jumped the GB Youth flag player and came down with the winning touchdown .

A walk off Touchdown to end the game!

A fitting end for Scott's last day with us before he and his McCready crew move to the US.

Our Oxford Saints U14 Flag Team were in action at home last Sat.

Our Older U14 faced the St Birinus school U14 Flag A Team.
While our younger U14 team faced the St Birinus school U14 FLAG B team.

Oxford Saints U14 came away with two hard fought victories in the rain .

We look forward to playing St Birinus again soon.

We came away with 2 wins and 2 losses.

The team worked hard and scored plenty of great touchdowns.
