The Abersytwyth Digs Football League is based within Aberystwyth University, and continues to grow each year with more teams wanting to be involved. The League is run voluntarily by the Digs Committee who is elected at the end of the previous season by the Students' Union. Teams are randomly assigned into two simultaneously running leagues. After all fixtures in the leagues are fulfilled, teams co
mpete in one of three post-season competitions, qualification is tiered based upon final league positions. In addition to the twoleagues, all teams are entered into the Aberystywth Town Cup. The cup runs alongside the leagues and the finalists can look forward to playing at Park Avenue, the home of Aberystwyth Town Football Club. Each player must have valid insurance which for this year can be purchased from the Students Union, and they cannot take part until they have one.
