🌸⛳️ WHAT A FABULOUS LADY PRESIDENT’S DAY! ⛳️🌸

A fantastic turnout of 40 players joined Lady President Lyn Reid for her special Lady President’s Day! 🏌️‍♀️💕

Lyn was absolutely delighted to have so many of her family and friends there to share her special day with her, making it even more memorable. ❤️

The weather certainly didn’t disappoint — after a cloudy start, the sun came out and we finished the day with beautiful warm sunshine! ☀️

With 60+ members and guests enjoying a fabulous meal, great company and plenty of refreshments, it really was a wonderful day from start to finish! 🍽️🥂

A lovely surprise for Lyn too, as her husband Roger presented her with a beautiful bouquet of flowers 💐. The Past Lady Presidents also presented Lyn with a gorgeous Clogau bracelet, and the Ladies Section gifted her a voucher towards a new golf bag! ⛳️

A huge thank you to Kate & James for keeping everyone refreshed behind the bar, and to the restaurant for another fabulous meal and service! 👏🥂

⛳️ Machynys Golf Club – Pairs Competition ⛳️

A fantastic day for Lindsay Meakin & Ian Carr, who proudly represented Abergele at last week’s Pairs Competition at Machynys Golf Club.

The pair put in a great performance, scoring an excellent 39 points, with 49 points taking the overall win on the day. 🏆👏

They were also the only competitors representing North or Mid Wales, with the event seeing a strong turnout of players and sponsors from across South Wales.

It was a fantastic experience and a brilliantly organised event from start to finish. It would certainly be a great achievement to see a future final hosted in North Wales.

A huge well done to Lindsay & Ian for representing Abergele so brilliantly. 👏⛳️

8 DAYS OF AGC OPEN WEEK — DONE & DUSTED! 🎉

And what a week it’s been! ☀️🌧️

We kicked off Open Week with beautiful sunshine and, safe to say, ended with a LOT of rain! 🌧️ But that certainly didn’t stop us! 💪⛳️

We’re delighted to say that the 2026 Abergele Golf Club Open Week has been a huge success! 🎉

A massive THANK YOU to our fabulous Bar, Restaurant team and halfway house for all their hard work throughout the whole of Open Week. 🍻🍽️ Your efforts have helped make the week such a success!

👏 A special thank you also goes to our Club Captains, Mel & Nia, and their fantastic team of member volunteers, who have worked tirelessly throughout the week.

Together, they have raised an incredible £2,505 towards the Joint Captains’ Charity, Tŷ Gobaith Children’s Hospice, and the Abergele Golf Club Refurbishment Fund. ❤️
