Abergavenny Hockey Club The club offers hockey to all ages and genders. Men and Ladies senior teams, plus youth ages from Under 8 up to Under 18, there's a place for everyone!

Abergavenny Hockey Club is one of the oldest in Wales. It has a strong and proud history going back to its inception in 1897. Currently running 1 men's team and 2 ladies teams, the club benefits from a friendly relaxed atmosphere with both sections of the club sharing resources and getting together regularly both socially and as committee members. The season 2014-15 sees us enter a second ladies t

eam into the league for the first time ever. Also we continue to enter a team into the Development Division. This allows our older junior players to combine with some "old heads" and enjoy competitive hockey. The junior section of the club is also thriving. Running sections from Under 9 up to Under 15, we are seeing increasing poularity in the sport from children. The 2014-15 season sees us having junior training from 6:30pm until 8:30pm on Tuesdays. Mens training follows, from 8:30 - 10:00. Further junior training is on Thursdays between 7 and 8pm and the senior ladies follow between 8:00pm and 9:30pm

Senior matches take place on Saturday afternoons whilst the junior matches take place on Sunday mornings. See exact training schedules and times on the club website www.abergavennyhockey.co.uk

The wait is over - hockey is back in Abergavenny! 🎉
This weekend saw our teams step back onto the pitch for their first games of the season, and what a brilliant start it was! From hard-fought battles to moments of magic, there was plenty to cheer about and plenty more to come.

A huge thank you to all our players, coaches, umpires, supporters, and volunteers who helped get the season underway. Whether you're returning for another season or joining us for the first time - welcome to the Abergavenny Hockey Club family 💙💛

If you’re new to the area, fancy getting back into the game, or just want to be part of something active and social, now’s the perfect time to get involved! All ages and abilities are welcome, from juniors to seniors, total beginners to seasoned players.

Join us for a fun-filled, action-packed day of hockey as we kick off the new season! Whether you’re an experienced player, total beginner, or just curious about the game – everyone is welcome! 🙌
